Will David Tua ever have another chance at making an impact?

I think most boxing fans would absolutely love to see Tua fight Peter.

 

Agreed...it's not an easy fight to say which fighter wins, but one thing is for sure: the fans would be treated to a good, old fashion heavyweight slugfest.

 

If the Tuaman gets his weight back down and some of his speed back...he will be a serious threat to anybody in the division. Most of the top guys in the division are either weak defensively or have known weak chins, either of which are extremely bad when you face David Tua :good

A somewhat-close-to-prime David Tua could "John Ruiz" anybody in the division...keep in mind that it took extremely tough, skilled big men like Lennox Lewis and Ike Ibeabuchi to beat him when he was in his prime. Anyone who makes a Lewis-Wlad comparison is forgetting our favorite Ukrainian's chin

 

Tua's weight IS down, to 234. And he's eating clean. Even if he lost an important fight against a contender, he's still game. Look at Klit, who's been ko'd twice, knocked down numberous times, and now he's seen as the king of the heavyweight hill. There were even calls for him to retire. And now he's the man to beat. Golota, Brewster, Briggs, Ruiz, Holy, Liak, etc. The list goes on and on of those who have lost, even been brutally ko'd, and have come back.

 

No Diehard not at all! Apparently Inga is meant to be derailing him now? Why does all of Tua's friends appear to be derailing him? Perhaps he's not that nice a guy as you presume?? Why is it that his closest friends end up on the wrong side down, perhaps Tua has a character problem that will eventually beat him before he finally gets to his ever alluding goal? Tua is an acquantance of mine like he is to so many others. I still think he takes Shane Cameron out! What do you think?

 

If Tua can stay out of court and fight every three months he would have an excellent chance.

 

I agree. Tua's best chances is vs. either Maskaev or Peter but he still has a shot vs. the others, just not a real good one.

 

Hi Shamrock. I'm still pissed that he didn't visit your gym, especially with admiring fighters waiting. Inga derailing him? Is that inside goss? I do know that Inga loaned him a shitload of money, over $100,000, and there's no way Tua can pay it back with the fights he's taking. I don't know him. Does he have a public happy face and mean private one? I see Tua taking Cameron out. Bad fight for both of them. If Tua loses, he's history. If Cameron loses, especially by TKO or KO, he'll never make it outta NZ.

Shamrock, any word on Tua? Supposedly, he's training for his fight? against Williams at the end of November.

 

Hahahaha, seriously, I don't care he didn't visit my gym. Hell I'm there every day, thats all my people want. I currently have no word on David. Just for the record Diehard, I hope Tua can still make something of himself. It would be awesome if he gets another crack at a title holder. Just like to see him fighting better accountable opposition thats all.

 

Power does not mean anything, if u can not land. Tua is too slow to land his big punches. Mccall and Holyfield are example of how he can fair against good opposition. He can get a shot but he has no chance. He should find a fool like Moorer or liachovich that will trade with him, which does not exist among current title holders.

 

He's not a titleholder, but Peter would trade with him.

I think Tua catches and cleanly KOs Peter. Peter has overrated power, and Tua's power seems to be everything its hyped up to be.

I hope at some point that these two fight, cause they are tailor made for each other, with Tua being the favorite.

I don't think so. He had his chances to impact. If he has not by now I doubt he will. The guys are getting bigger and bigger.
