You get 1 dollar plus the dollar you bet. That is the same as +100. 2/1 is +200. You are getting about the same as what everyone else has mentioned in this thread. 2.00 in European/Aussie odds is the same thing as +100 in American odds. If you bet $500 on Haye and he wins you get back the $500 you bet and then the $500 you won for a $500 profit.

    http://www.eurobet.com/1/com_help/odds.html

    As the chart shows 2/1=3.00=+200

    you got 1/1 not 2/1.

Cheers for bringing the difference between Aussie and American odds to my attention.

Still, I wasn't saying the odds here were better than anywhere else, I merely pointed out I thought the 2/1 quoted (1 to 1 in US) was good value.

Worth throwing into a multi I think!

I have bet Haye to win - he is too slick and punches too hard and Mormeck is relatively easy to hit. However, the weight issue does worry me as Mormeck could make this a battle of attrition and win a grinding decision or KO Haye late if he is exhausted

I wanna say Haye , but I'm concerned about the weight , He looked ripped as hell when sparking Bonin so to lose the 20 odd pounds again will be tough but he has youth on his side so hopefully he can drop back down and be ok. if he makes the weight without too much bother he'll stop Mormeck. Haye is bigger, faster , hits harder and has more skill.

Seriously, if getting KO'ed by a 40 year old senior citzen isn't an indication, I don't know what is. Would getting KO'ed by a 60 year old be enough to convince you? But this is exactly where you see the double standards, lots of other fighters would be stamped a bum because of this but Haye is still one of the biggest hypejobs on this board.

I'm sorry but getting beat by Carl Thompson in your 11th fight is NO SHAME at all. Carl was way too experienced for Haye, he bided his time and waited for Haye to gas out before pouncing. Thats what world class, experienced veterans do to prospects who dont have their level of experience. I object you saying that about Carl 40 year old senior citizen, coz he was a proper legend of british boxing who was very dangerous. He was borderline top 10 and had world class pedigree. How many other pro's fight guys that good in 11 fights?

Anyway, I favour Haye for this. Mormeck isnt a very big cruiserweight, he's getting on too, and as long as Haye doesn't suffer too much from the weight loss he should be able to take him out sometime in the middle rounds.

Wrong again if you placed say £100 on that link you sent me for Haye you would get £200 back you mug not £300 which would be 2/1 fool.

    No it's not.

I even showed you the website, and your fellow American pointed out that the ways the odds were described differed in Australia and the USA.

How the **** would you know anyway? Travelled the world have you?

Ignorant ****wit! I hope 1983 isn't your Birthdate because your intelligence and maturity level would be subpar for someone born in 1993, let alone ten years prior.

I think this is the key, it's all about how easily Haye makes weight. If it's a case of Miranda making 160 Vs Pavlik, he'll more than likely lose. If he can make it comfortably I feel he'll defeat Mormeck, although by Hayes own admission he feels much better at heavyweight.

Still, should be a good fight.
