his adreniline was running and he fouled and the ref was right to deduct him 2 points.

i saw only 1 point deduction but i watched it on a small feed and haye must have been deducted again for another illegal punch.

british commentators said the 2nd knockdown in the first round should not have been called a knockdown.

Who cares? It's a ****ing fight. The first rule in boxing is "protect yourself at all times" and when you turn your back, like a coward, you aren't doing that.

Same old Ruiz tactics. How many times has he tried this?

 

I was just confused as to why they called it a KD and then deducted a point. Another poster pointed out that Ruiz was knocked down and then got fouled. That makes more sense.

what happened was ruiz was hurt and backed up to the ropes.

haye came in from the right hand side with a right hand bomb that landed about the ruiz ear, ruiz was hurt and was pitching forward onto the ropes and down staggered possibly going down to his knee`s, but haye then hit him twice more very quickly after at the taRGET which was on offer which was the back of ruiz head and this toppled ruiz over and on the floor.


i can only guess at the ref`s action , my best guess would be he thought ruiz was hurt enough and on his way down for a count that he awarded the knockdown to haye , but because the last 2 blows were illegal back of the head shots deducted a point as well.
