Talent from all corners of the world will continue to flourish in boxing. The US, Britain, Cuba, Mexico, Philipines, Puerto Rico, many West African nations(Ghana, Nigeria, and Uganda once they rid of the tyrannical dictatorship) have and will continue to produce champions. Boxing has been through the wringer in the 20th century in the US and thrived. No doubt it can continue to do so in the 21st century.

There is probably a lot of truth to this.

So many of the gyms in the inner city just no longer exist. Also, so many young boxers were found and trained within things like PAL (Police Athletic League). Now due to funding issues etc, many of those services are now gone or greatly diminished.

When I was a kid in Harlem we used to go to 155 st to watch all the young fighters. For 2 bucks you could go in and watch Iran Barkley and others spar. That gym is now gone. I read that even the great Kronk gym needed a public fundraiser to stay open.

America will always produce good fighters. We are a nation of 300 million people. However, there are other realities at play as well.

That's some funny **** right here and you got the nerve to choose that name (self imposed position of authority) LOL. If you gonna post something like this then you should get deeper with it than poor and week amateur program. Everyone with eyes knows that international amateur boxing is a joke and a disgrace at that. Hard to guage the future off US fighters on international amateur boxing.

Then you got the nerve to say dominate LOL. Please name the people from britan and europe who are dominating. I will give you the heavyweight situation but that's it.

im not biased at all, just putting the facts on the table.

without a solid amateur pedigree, its almost unlikely to succeed at the pros.

those boxers listed above: i agree with paul williams, kelly pavlik, chad dawson,Timothy Bradley,Devon Alexander,Andre Ward,Andre Dirrell-but that will be it. these guys had a good amateur background.

the amateur status in the US nowadays is WEAK. the last amateur WC and olympics were dominated by russian boxers, some cubans and eastern europeans.

    go check: http://www.aiba.org/

these are the facts, its not necessary to be an expert:

america is weak, so are their fighters.
