But that is what happens to pro athletes, Once they retire they still spend the money like it was still coming in and it eventually dries up. The one boxer that should never have that problem is Hopkins, the man is as conservative financially as they come with insured Government Bonds. the republic would have to fall before he lost a dime.
He was one of my favorites as well....I thought I heard he was a security guard a while back. These guys need to learn to manage their money better and make it work for you. Another sad commentary of a great fighter!!!
Hagler could never spend all of his money. All the money he had to have made being a mega mega movie star.
Add Lennox Lewis to the list, the guy probably had one of the best contracts during his era with promoters and managers.
