I was actually quite glad Barrera gave Hamed a lesson, but will gang up on the Mancs anyway.

Don't ride on the back of arseholing Manure at the Swamp forever...:yep

It's the worse thing that has happened at Leeds this season, I see the mighty Swindon rolled into Leeds this weekend, kicked arse and hit the M1 Southbound...:yep

If they could have put 30,000 in the M.E.N Arena that night they would have sold it out, in fact I think they could have held that fight at the Reebok or dare I say it Citys ground and would have put loads more in there...:good

The entrance to the ring by Barrera said it all, it didn't need any explaining who had come to see who...:happy :happy :happy

I've got it but cannot change it till i'm out of work coz the works comp is tied down for stuff like that.

Anyway I don't think this will be a proper sell out, probably free tickets though to get it to capacity

Agree. If it doesn't sell out, I think that will say more about Malignaggi than Khan. Afterall, he's on Malignaggi's home turf and it's the kid's first fight in the States - an opportunity for him to formally introduce himself to American fight fans.

If he wins in style, I think it will put Khan in good stead to put on bigger shows with better opponents. That's when people will expect him to draw in more than 6,000. On the flip side, if he flops (i.e. loses) - Team Khan can kiss goodbye to brand Khan. GBP ain't no Frank Warren.

Not a bad start though. First US fight in the Garden, and I hear HBO are interested in "him." Does anyone know if HBO will be televising it?

Ring Mag have Khan number 3?

A decision win versus Kotelnik is pretty damn impressive in my book. Although Khan will always be boxing a shadow in the ring...well for a couple more fights at least with chin questions. But with Ring being controlled by GBP and Khan now in DLH's backyard of L.A., not to mention Victor Ortiz and Lamont Peterson getting exiled as Joan of Arc witches, I could see Ring Mag throwing a bone to Amir at #3. Imo I think a #4 or #5 spot is a little more forthcoming tbh.

TBH Slip I think GBP has done a very good job of keeping the Ring rankings separate from their business interests. People keep looking for fixes but they just arn't there IMHO.
