1 - Carl Thompson was a better fighter than Meehan ever was.
2 - Haye was green and inexperienced. He's improved dramatically since then.
3 - He took right hand after right hand from Thompson and was still on his feet at the end. It had nothing to do with punch resistance, it had to do with him being exhausted and taking a series of unanswered blows.
4 - Meehan would not land a thing on Haye, and would be bombed out in the first round. Absolutely guarenteed he doesn't make it out of the first 3 minutes if they fight, but I doubt they do.
5 - Go and watch the Thompson fight, you obviously haven't seen it.
6 - Haye would knock out your hero assuming he makes it past the undedicated, untalented lard-arse Taco Bell regular.

Meehan was a solid fighter, bottom end of the top 10 contenders, but he's too ponderous for Haye. The fact that years ago he got sparked early once by some average fighter doesnt mean a lot, the same has happened to plenty of champions

Carl Thompson was a eurobum circuit opponent, hardly the stuff of legends, Meehan is at least as good, hes a well schooled heavyweight with a good right hand, just a bit slow.

    haye will avoid meehan anyway.

he'll fight valuev again, then holyfield and probably give ruiz another go lol.

i'd like to see haye fight the klits, but he never will.

Meehan is 40 though. I'd favor Haye due to Kali's age.

Rubbish he just fought on those eurocircuit cards for the ASDA east german WBF intercontinental strap etc, he was never world level for real belts.
I like the fighter and he was a tough warrior but Meehan has actually fought at a higher level, albeit with some help from Don King.

Meehan has beaten literally nobody of note, nobody. Thompson held one of the 4 main world title belts and beat some good quality opposition. Meehan got sparked by Danny Williams ffs, how he managed to get himself eliminators and a world title shot is an absolute mystery.
