Georges Carpentier refereeed a title defence by Jack Johnson in 1914 at the age of only 20 years old, seven years before he challenged Jack Dempsey

    buster douglas koing tyson.

i would have bet my house/car and wife that would not have happened prior to the fight , not long having watched douglas basically quit v tony tucker a year or 2 before in a fight i watched.

could not beleive it at the time, but right from the first round the upset was in the offing.

not a boxing fact as such, but it still shocks me that jack johnson did not end up getting murdered. there must of been so many opportunities for atleast one person to of done it, and so many must of thought of doing it. luckily nothing that tragic happened.

In the third one, which came many years after the first two. They were both prospects the first two times they fought, former gold medalist Seales then being the higher regarded of the two, best I can tell.
