When Was Eubank Hurt?

First fight with Benn, fourth round, sick uppercut from Benn had him hurting...

 

Heard him say that Watson hurt him. Can't recall what round or if it was even noticeable.

 

I reckon when Benn had him down, Watson hurt him second fight, Ray Close troubled him, Collins gave him problems, and Thompson dished a bit out too, I loved watching Chris, a very good, but not great fighter, and geneerally good entertainment, I actually missed him more than I thought I would when he retired

 

Watson knocked him down in the 11th round of their second fight, Watson was winning on every scorecard.
Calzaghe knocked him down with a flash knockdown in the 1st round of their fight.
Steve Collins knocked Eubank down in the 8th round of their first fight, the one where Collins was said to have played mind games on Eubank.
Apart from those three I can only remember 8 counts were Eubank claimed he slipped, one against Calzaghe in one of the later rounds of their fight and one against Benn in their first meeting.
Eubank had a granite chin.

 

Against Johnny Melfah! His legs went slightly and he shook out cobwebs, he was clearly stunned with I think a single right.

Also against Benn in the 10th of their rematch from a leaping left hook.

Other than that...


(no way was he hurt against Close or Collins!! -just thoroughly outworked)

 

Eubank was one solid fighter, most shots just bounced off that granite chin, two great wars with Nigel Benn taking shot after shot, he was one of the characters of the 90's. Great times for boxing.

 

the 1st fight against Benn he took a sick shot to the ribs, think it may have been round 5 or 6.

 

Tony seemed to hurt the eloquent gent in that interview with Ross.

 

the dentist hurt him when he took 30.000 and he still talks with a lisp

 

We often don't seem to get the same sort of rivalry nowadays.
