Ive said in his own threat that Punisher was stretching reality a bit... but yes calling Ruiz or Rahman great ? ...
Peter seems to have good power though .. but not even near to what Wlad has, and more importantly not the technique Wlad has to deliver it cleanly.

What i hate even more is that he NEEDS his fouling to be competitive (much like Ruiz) in particular i hate the rabbit punching considering its such a dangerous form of fouling and that has caused a lot of injuries over boxing history.

I do not like Wlads clinching but at least he isn't trying to crush somebody's skull from the back.

Well as you can see Headbutts are just as dangerous, just look what happend to Tyson and Rahman. You can say what you want about Peters fouling, but you would be surprised what happends in the ring you dont always see on TV.

When I use to box I couldnt tell you how many times my toes were stepped on and then hit by a punch, or guys putting there head into my chest and then bringing there head up and hitting up under the chin. Boxings a tough sport and fouls happen all the time, if you dont like someone fouling you, you must foul them back.

If you watch the Mccline/Peter fight, I seen Mccline fouling just as much. I seen him hitting on the break, leaning in with his head, and excessively holding. There is a reason the ref didnt take a point away from Peter, because both fighters were using dirty tactics.

Simple anatomy the back of the skull is much weaker than the front.

And while i said before i do not condone any of the fouling, hitting to the back of the head is one of the most dangerous fouls there is.

McCline did not come close to the level of dirty fighting that Peter used and not even remotely as dangerous.

Next to the simple facts i can also speak from personal experience back when i still kickboxed that when i got kicked to the yaw it hurt like a ***** but i recovered quite quickly ... but i got hit to the back of the head once and i was whoozy for almost an hour.

I am not defending anybody that excessively fouls but somebody with the supposed 1 punch KO power that Peter has according to his fans should not need this particular move ?

Everytime when people say its because of his poor technique or a heat of the moment thing... do you remember the double fisted rabbit punch he did on Toney in the clinch ? i mean how do you defend something like that.

As a kickboxer you know the dirty things that go on in the ring, its part of the sport and always has been. If you watch some of Dempseys fights you will see him hitting in the back of the head, especially when his oppenent was hurt and putting his head down to avoid punches.

Headbutts are just as lethal, Tyson still claims he was messed up from the 2nd round on in there first fight. Its hard to really compare what fouls are worse than others, just like a guy leaning on your back thats 240-250 meaning Lewis' and Wlad, can really **** up your back and take alot out of you during a fight.

As far as Sam doing the double fisted rabbit punch, yes that was a blatant foul that did cause him to have a point taking away. Nothing Peter does is anymore of a foul than what Wlad or Holyfield does, and the refs know thats part of boxing.

I would not proclaim myself as a real kickboxer ... i trained in it and i sparred for a while but i never had a real match.
But i am a 6'4 guy and when i still trained i was a lean 215lb and i can only say that nothing affected me more than that blow to the back of the head.

We can agree to disagree i suppose... personally to me i rate fouling in a level of long term danger to a fighter, holding or leaning down is bad but purposely doing a foul that could endanger the other fighter permanently just goes too far for me.

I used the double rabbit punch as a example of what Peter is mentally capable of doing when hes not "in the heat of the moment"

Up to a point i agree with you about the headbutting... i really do not like it but once again the front of the skull is a lot stronger than the back. (i respect Holyfield but i do not like to watch him fight)

At this point we kinda start going back to our previous discussion where i mentioned the other fighters used the fouling as a extra to their already quite substantial skillset... and i do not see Peter having anything like that to fall back on.

But before we get into a endless cycle i can only respect your opinion though and leave it at that.

Daruf- fair enough, I do however feel Peter has been improving his craft with each and every fight. I feel its only a matter of time before Peter is a great fighter, considering hes only 27.

Yes and no ... I have seen some improvements in the second Toney fight, but how much of that was down to Toney being downright horrible ?
In the McCline fight Peter looked terrible but in flashes did display a potent jab.

As i have stated before .. IF (to me not a ceirtanty) he beats Maskaev by KO i will give him quite some credit for KOing a top 10 heavy.... allthough i do not feel its a great testimony of power seeing as Maskeav has been KOd by weak punchers before.
Maskaev clearly improved his defense though and hits hard himself so i will give credit where credit is due.

I admit i might be too harsh on Peter, the jury is still out on him... i do not think his power is proven yet (nor unproven)

Peter style evolved and he measures his power better now. There's no reason to say Mccline didn't respect his power. Peter turned on the heat when it was possible. Problem was he didn't have much gas or maybe KDs took it from him.

I do think Peter stills remains a mystery to most fans and critics alike , but he is very exciting boxer thats good for the popularity of the heavyweight division.

As you mentioned in your post Maskeav has improved his defense, I was also surprised to see the very hard overhand right that landed cleanly in the 1st round, and Maskaev took it very well. So it might not be as easy as some people think to knockout Maskeav anymore, but Im hoping Peter can do what Rahman couldnt.
