apologies as this is old news, but i only just moved into an apartment with internet and am able to download fights! if people arent interested, let this thread sink and die!
but i just watched the froch dirrell fight in full, with the american showtime commentary, and these are the points i noticed:
    - commentary very biased towards dirrell, from one of the commentators especially
    - at one point 1 of the commentators during the highlights of round 7 was calling a counter from dirrell which never happened
    - after round 2, i think, froch's girlfriend shouted to her friend (maybe froch brother) "he's running like a ******"
    - every time there was an exchange where both men got hit the commentators just highlighted dirrells punches
    - after 1 round the extremely biased commentator said it was dirrell's round and the other guy said in disbelief "really?!"
    - froch could and probably should have had a point deducted for dirty tactics, especially for hitting the back of the head
    - anyone who says dirrell definitely should have won must have been watching with the showtime commentary
    - probably should have been a draw

as i say, old and out of date thread, but wanted to expose the american commentary in case it had gone unnoticed, as i know alot of people in the general are convinced it was a cert for a dirrell win.

Yup! Commentary was poor and biased in favour of Dirrell. Although I think Bernstein wasn't to bad.

I think Tarver is great, and makes alot of good points. I had one point in the fight and think it coulda gone either way. People sayin it was a robbery are obviously just being biased.

I agree that the American commentary was bias towards Dirrell. At one point the commentator said Froch was hurt when he just ducked and moved. I also didn't like the interview with Froch afterwards, where the commentator basically told Froch he got a robbery. Bit rude that I thought.

I have to say though that I like the Showtime commentary in general, and think Tarver is a decent pundit (compared to ours :patsch ).

Initially I thought Dirrell won, although I often tend to get in the worst-case-scenario frame of mind for the the British fighter when scoring for some reason.

I'm glad Froch got the debatable result though because it was a crap fight because of Dirrell's negativity. If only Dirrell fought like he did against Abraham.

I'm a Froch fan, but I honestly didn't think he was going to win that fight when they were calling out the decision. The rounds where he was doing the best were so scrappy. If somebody had it a round or two for Dirrell I wouldn't have too much problem with it.

Still Dirrell and his fans can't have too much to gripe about, he looked great in a few rounds but for the rest of the fight he was just spoiling and clinching.

Watching it live, Dirrells running was far more apparent, a truth belied by the close camera shots.
