not concrete but someone in the know tells me albert stands to make more for fighting vitali than haye was getting haye would have made more but his garunteed purse was less than alberts .hayes money was ment to come from setanta who went under months before the fight food for thought
yep mre garunteed than haye was getting sure haye had tv money to come but as we know setanta went down
Umm..? Do you need some help with spelling or something? Or are you drunk? That sentence makes no sense...Put a little bit more time and effort in what you are trying to accomplish by making this thread....
Food for thought? Maybe if you're a coma patient. Honestly, I don't expect journalist integrity on these boards, but posts like these are just pathetic. You have no names, no quotes, no figures....You have nothing. And yet you are sadly trying to make a statement post. Not an opinion post...it's a statement!...only bereft of facts, names and numbers. Great. Please, friend, don't quit your day job.
Sosnowski has been a HW all the time and was European champion which is more credible than a cruiserweight fighting for the HW championship after one fight since coming up. Haye is lucky he talked himself into that fight. And I think Haye had not made that much money in the cruiser's (which is a bad selling weightclass) comparing to the money he receives from fighting Vitali. I'm not saying that Sosnowski is better than Haye but I think as a legitimate HW for his entire career, he is more deserving of a bigger share:good
No raw deal at all.Haye signed a contract. The vast bulk of Haye's money was coming from Setanta. Setanta folded. Haye Bailed. it's not that complicated..... Even though I had a ticket for the fight I don't hold it against Haye for bailing. I'd have done exactly the same in his shoes. This fight will be soooo much bigger/better now. So it was for the greater good imo
How do you work that out? Firstly, who is Sosnowski? Secondly, Haye was undisputed CW champ, the fight was going out on HBO, so there is a lot of money there, as well as being PPV in Europe, with a big gate receipt. Simply put, it was a much bigger fight with much more money involved. So of course Haye deserves more money.
:nut David Haye - Cruiserweight champion who was regarded as the number 1 in the division before moving up to heavyweight. Sold out the 20,000 seater O2 arena and was in what was described as the 'biggest British fight since Eubank vs Benn' when fighting Maccarinelli. Albert Sosnowski - Beat a shot and uninterested Danny Williams, then won the vacant Euro title against a 39 year old Paolo Vidoz who wasn't that good to begin with. Sold out the York Hall, which has a 1,200 seat capacity, on a joint double-bill with Dilks vs Adamu. So tell me again, who was more deserving of a bigger share? :think
Disagree.. There is a reason why Evander Holyfield as the former Cruiserweight Champion of the world was given a $12 Million guarantee payday against Mike Tyson despite having little activity at HW whereas fighers like Buster Douglas was given significantly less despite being career Heavyweights. Its marketability. And as far as I see it David Haye is far more marketable then Albert. He is also more famous. Disagree? Take a look at the Ruiz fight. Look at his live gates compared to Sosnowski.
