wow...you really didn't understand that post huh??? maybe it was my fault.

What I was trying to say is that Paulie does not have the power to bother Hatton. So paulie's speed is null and void. Urango and Lazcano hurt Hatton and they don't have much speed. So the arguement does not really matter.

i liked ricky. if u look at a floyd interview with smitty, smitty says i belive marquez is alot better fighter than hatton. floyd repsonds with "if u really belive that..." and aknowledges that rick did beat kosta tzu or however u spell it.

the truth is boxing is ego, skill, and chin. rickys ego made his skill go up. once floyd beat him it was over. the first few rounds ricky did really well vs floyd. people shudnt say he sucks. hes a nice guy and good fighter

 

He was just lucky he didn't run into Barrera or Morales earlier in his career.

Cheers. I just think it's important, cos Haye is quite clearly a superb fighter and I think it becomes so easy to hate on him cos of our over-defensiveness of other fighters.

That said, the Hatton victories clearly add a lot to PBF's and Pac's standings, so he can't have been that bad.

 

Because he has lost twice and many posters here are from America. You can't lose in the eyes of Yanks or you are automatically garbage.

He couldn't have done. They were nowhere close to moving up, and people forget that he insisted on MAB because he thought, like most people, that he had beaten Morales.

The earlier Naz would have had a real chance, but his ego (like someone said of Hatton), was so fragile. He had his arrogance stripped from him bit by bit - he might have beaten MAB and Morales years earlier, as Naz would have been more confident and they simply wouldn't have been prepared for the weight. All-time across divisions, Morales and Barrera are better. All-time feather, Naz is better.

 

Hatton was hungry and motivated.

But you are correct. Naz is a top feather talent. Lennox is top 6 heavy. Nigel Benn was a great fighter imo. David Haye I hope does well. He needs to improve his defence at this point of the game. But his speed and power are world class.

 

As for the Hatton disrespect, I feel a lot of it comes from him gaining access to so many big money fights because he was white and I guess had a whole country behind him.

Look at poor ol' Bradley and Alexander, they are just one of a multitude of black American fighters, so they would have earned **** compared to Hatton.

I was initially impressed with Hatton's victory over Tsyzu(even though I think Tsyzu has always been criminally overrated), but after seeing how unimpressive Hatton was against Collazo, then I began to think Tsyzu was past his prime by a fair way.

The Floyd fight was credible enough actually, but the Pacquiao blowout was not good, not good at all.
