More like Williams would throw 5 punches, barely land one, graze with two and miss the other two then eat a meaningful punch in return.
Martinez by very close decision. I would have been ok with a draw too, but I thought Martinez won by the thinnest of margins. Look at Martinez's knockdown vs Williams's knockdown and tell me who you thought won the fight. Everything was about even except for that, and to me that is very telling. Also, put yourself in either fighter's shoes, and who would you rather be? I'd rather be Martinez. Not only that, but scoring wise I thought it was a 1 point victory for Martinez.
Are you ****ing kidding me???? Judge an entire fight by something that happened in the first round??? After that, Williams got up and pressed on and on and on. Yeah it was a close, tough fight. But to say that you decide it based on how effective their KDs were in the 1st round is pretty ridiculous.
Nah, the 10 point must system means one guy has to have at least 10 points. When it's 9-9, it would be when a guy who does the better work in the round gets a point deducted for fouling or whatever. The official cards have a column for "points deducted". The 9th round here is an example of a 9-9 round. This content is protected
Paul Williams closely,But it couldve went either way,I would have no problems if the judges gave Martinez that fight
Well one could have scored it a draw, but I'm asking people who they felt should get the nod regardless of how they scored the fight. If you scored it a draw and you absolutely think none of them deserved the win even a bit more than the other... then sorry, no option for that.
well I was watching some shitty stream (we don't get Showtime fights over here) so the harder, cleaner punches that Martinez was landing were the ones that made an impression on me, so I went with Martinez in a close descision.
i had Martinez 116-112 first time i watched it and Martinez 115-113 about a month later when i watched it again
