Floyd too smart to be caught clean. It might turn out that Shane wear himself down looking for a knockout. You dont want to fight Floyd if you are tired, oh boy. It can be a long night there. Good luck to both.

    Exactly! And tired!

I think beyond a guys KO% you have to look at the types of guys he is knocking out. Mosley knocks punch oriented guys out. Mosley is taken the distance and/or beaten by boxers.

I am not sure if you could say he wears you down then takes you out or that he sets up the knock out, to me it seems like he sets up the knock out by putting in rounds looking at what the other man is bringing once he sees whats working, he turns it on....

True, but Cotto never stood there long enough for him to do that "evaluation". Pre-Marg Cotto didn't even fight like that as a plan A. He still, IMHO, schooled Mosley.

What makes anyone think Mayweather will? Mayweather's plan A is to be moving and pot shotting.

Hey has good power, not great. Anyone who ranks him as being a big one-punch banger is an idiot and probably a fanboy.

I think Shanes left hook and body shots is the only punches Floyd has to even worry about. Shanes looping right hands is not going to land on Floyd..lol Nor will he out jab him. Shane throws the left hook from a perfect knockout angle b/c it comes underneath. Cotto was able to nullify it so I think Floyd will too. Floyd just mainly has to difuse the body attack and not take too many shots on the arms or shoulders.

I will bet you that looping right hand does better than the left hook in this fight, the key is Shane has to throw it where Floyd is going to be rather than where he is....

margo did look very apologetic throuighout the fight. he was in another mindset. but mosley did stop him hard.

mosley can and is a puncher. he has fought the best in the world and still stopped them.
even at lighweight he was beating a pretty good but still unspectacular bunch of competition the way he dealt with john john molina and leija even willy wise was impressive.
but moving up 2 weigth divisions to utterly destroy wilfredo rivera (which no one had done before or after), hurting oscar and winky. dropping and finishing vargas, finishing of mayorga and his sparkage of adrian stone is etched in my mind that he can deal and hurt elite opponants.

He make Cotto knees buckle once last in the fight and had him running as well. Apparently he had some effect or atleast more effect then Cotto's punches had on Mosley even if Cotto did win. Mosley dropped Collazo, KTFO Margarito and knocked Mayorga outcold that dude wasnt getting up for awhile. Noboddy ever took out Fernando Vargas with 1 punch like Mosley did in their rematch. Not bad for an overatted puncher. Very VERY FEW guys have legitmate 1 punch power in boxing outside the Heavyweight divison.

Shane has good power. Nothing special. Whens the last time Shane knocked out a boxer? Cotto, Collazo, DLH, Wright, Forrest ect

Infact there was a period from 2002-2006 where Shane didnt have a single knockout. His knockout wins over the last few years have been Vargas, Mayorga and Margarito. Defensive seives.

So expected Shane to knockout Mayweather the best defensive fighter of this generation is incredibly low on the possibility chart.

OScar is a harder puncher then Shane and Floyd took his punches, which are more compact and disciplined no problem.
