With Caballero entering the featherweight division, the picture becomes more complicated. Instead of a JuanMa and Gamboa showdown with Chris John as the old king ready to be dethroned, a new lion wants to make a name for himself. Caballero is tall, skillful, and on a hot streak. His only true flaw is his age; he is 33 years old. But he fights as if he is an up and coming boxer hungry for attention. Gamboa is one fighter that can give him that recognition. If they were to both fight one another, who would win? Please vote on the poll. :bbb
Gamboa! Caballero is good and has a significant height and reach advantage, but lacks the power to hurt Gamboa. That will spell disaster for Caballero when he gets in the ring with Gamboa. Gamboa by KO round 7.
i see a few knockdowns , but gamboa`s straighter, tighter punches getting threw before cabs more looping shots. gamboa points.
Gamboa is too fast, strong, and sharp of a puncher to be kept at bay by a rangey slapper. He's a good boxer, but Caballero doesn't really have the authority to keep distance between himself and Gamboa for too long. If he prepares the right gameplan then possibly, but most likely Gamboa's athletic talent and skills override Caballero's arsenal of voluminous punches.
