That video makes them both look great and makes the concept more enticing, but Nacho was right in the sense that JMM had nothing to gain in that fight. I really hope that after Juan Diaz 2 Marquez finds someone noteworthy to fight before too much time passes. The guy is so overlooke in the sport it's ridiculous.
This says so much about what Marquez' own trainer since childhood thinks of his chances at 140lbs. Some of his blatant nuthuggers even make him the favorite against Tim Bradley for crying out loud. :nut They even dismiss the likes of Maidana and Ortiz as if these guys do not stand a chance. atsch And yet Nacho Beristain cries foul when Golden Boy pits Marquez against a fast, long yet chinny with good pop beltholder at 140? He'd be a stepping stone only if he stands as a serious underdog even before the fight is made, yet that is what Nacho is saying. Am I missing something here or some lunatics hereabouts are just living in a dreamworld?
I don't know why Golden Boy keeps throwing Juan Daiz a bone all the time. JMM should be fighting someone else that has been on a winning streak. He lost to floyd his last fight not a bum.. Diaz should be fighting Micheal Katsidis.. I would rather see that one.
Apparently some people think that just because there is a fighter who has made it look easy to go up from feather to as high as welterweight, that the difficulties in climbing these divisions are merely regarded as an afterthought. That every Dick, Joe and Harry can do such as well. Or that steroids have something to do with it. These are the kinds of fans boxing has.
I want Marquez to show Valero up and beat ten shades of **** outta him. Sadly, Valero is too busy sparring women.
