Jones Jr is jumping in with his leaping left hook...

And Eubank is timing his sneaky overhand right punch....

I think Eubank could've taken him. Jones Jr would have to be careful for that one punch he'd be open for when using his leap left.

Would have been a great fight, Eubank could take a heck of a beating, never gave up. And Roy Jones, well, he is Roy Jones!

Eubank in his prime would beat all the current crop of Super Middleweights..

But that was not the question!

I also think, that RJJ in his prime was nearly unbeatable! Too fast, too strong. But Eubank would have had a chance, if the timed the punch perfectly. We´ll never know, whether RJJ had his "chin-problem" back then or not! He hasn´t been hit too often, so we will never know..

Jones would have beaten Eubank by a wide margin.

I can see Eubank landing that punch on Jones Jr when Jones Jr's feet leaves the canvas and he goes for the hook

It would have been an interesting fight Jones probably would have been too quick but Eubank would only need to catch him once because he had crazy power and it would have been came over. Jones chin may well have declined over the years but theres not many fighters then or now that could take a shot from Eubank. I dont know if Jones would have wanted to go anywhere Eubank though

The point is how would he know when to throw the punch? That was the hardest part about prime Jones was the lightning speed and you never knew where he was coming from.

James Toney was a great counter puncher and only hit him solid about 3 or 4 times in that fight. Toney was dumbfounded, I don't honestly think Eubank would have had any more luck than Toney.

I just re watched Jones vs. Toney yesterday for the first time in a few years.. And I was completely amazed, so much different than the current Jones...

If Jones and Toney had never fought, and it was one of the mythical fights, who would have predicted a complete shutout? You would probably have fools saying Toney would have shattered Roy's "Glass Jaw"

Toney was made for Jones Jr but if Toney was in shape I think he'd have made it interesting as hell

    Yep....

The fact was Prime Griffin was a very awkward slippery type of fighter that was actually pretty good. I imagine that was a very frustrating guy to fight. He even gave Jones fits in the first fight when Jones was boxing him... In the second fight Jones just tried to come out and knock his head off, and that is pretty much what happened.:yep

    Eubank could knockout Jones.

Jone should be favoured to beat Eubank.

But of the British contingent, he had the best chacne. The thing is, from what I remember, they weren't even mutterings of their meeting until Eubank was past his best?
