Idiot. Ike stopped Byrd and Ike isn't as fast or as mobile as Povetkin, he was always fighting with one foot in the bucket.

So it was a great and fast paced fight for 2 heavyweights - Povetkin improved his defence and added some good bob'n'wave - still he got caught by some jabs of Byrd, though Povetkin is a great inside fighter, very good combos there - AND he has a good ring generalship...if he can get to Wlad this way and lands the uppercut we might have a new heavyweight champion, though Wlad seems to be physically stronger but if he don't tie up the Russian hard enough he is in for a fight of his life...

Ah, nevermind...you put 1000 on the 'over'.

Tough break. It could've gone 12.

Tough one, but you have lots of vCash  I almost bet, but passed. What bothers me is I almost put on a real bet on Pavlik the day of the fight vs JT :patsch

I thought that Povetkin had it in him but only late, as Byrd got tired...I took Amsterdam's and huki's advice on this...I was also lucky...!:good

Povetkin stopped Byrd only because his corner has thrown the towel, otherwise he could probably go the distance as he did against Wlad the first time (when he got worse beating IMO). Wlad and Ike really knocked him down, and Ike did it almost with a single punch.

Yes, he is only the third boxer to stop Byrd, but it doesn't say much about his power, especially that Byrd was slower and much easier to hit. Still, very good win for 14th fight and I feel Povetkin should win the tournament.

Jeah, he can be doing this for 10 more years w/o looking bad.

I just wish Povetkin could fight one of the other champions before he goes up against Wlad. I see Povetkin beating Ibragimov, Chagaev and Peter but Wlad...nah.
