Your right.. He wasn't. Frankly, he looked like he was disinterested in what was going on around him. He needs to do a complete gut check, and figure out what he wants to do. If he doesn't, he's going to get hurt. I don't want to see any fighter stay around past their time. It's very sad as we've seen so many times before.

Martinez skill wise is better then Paulie by a mile....but his movement around the ring, was quite malignaggi in there tonight....As far as USING the ring to it's FULL capacity.....S. Martinez and Paulie are the masters at that....

I just figured that Pavlik is a bit slow. Against elusive fighters like Martinez (and Bhop), Pavlik will have a hard time landing his bombs.

As far as I'm concerned it was Pavlik's fight to lose. And he did.

Outweighed Martinez by 11-12lbs, had the superior power, the superior reach, the more experience at 160lbs.

The problem with Pavlik is what happens to most big punchers. He fell in love with his right hand.

Pavlik needs to dump Lowe and get a new trainer. Someone who is an expert at this ****. No body punches. No uppercuts. No hooks off the lead left. This version of Pavlik would have lost to Williams. No doubt about it. He was garbage tonight.

Maybe he's always been this way and was gifted by opponents who would stand right in front of him. Either way, he proved tonight that he is very beatable. No way in my mind that a man whose career was around 154 should beat a man who at fight time weighed 178lbs. No way no how. Not at that level.

How many times are you gonna throw a right hand at thin air? Where was the jab and right hand to the body? Where was the uppercut when Martinez fell in? Pavlik reminded me of those garbage heavyweights. Looking for one big right hand and ready to hug on the inside when it got too rough.

He needs a change or he's heading the same direction Miranda has.

You should learn that a majority of people here don't even remotely know what that means and that they don't post humorous hyperbole, they post ridiculous **** that they actually mean but it seems like a joke.

Because brawlers are ugly. Boxers should be pretty. Nobody wants an ugly champion.

I said since day 1 that martinez will beat pavlik but most people favoured pavlik. People actually fought that pavlik wud destroy martinez which is ridiculous. Pavlik will always hav trouble with a boxer with movement and gud skills because pavlik is one dimensional.

Your lack of boxing knowledge continues to amaze me - in what way is Martinez a 'pure boxer'?

Uses angles, feints, creates distance, in and out movement. In what ways isnt he a pure boxer. He can scrap if he has to, but he's mostly about putting combination punches together and getting out of range and hooking over the top with his southpaw jab.

    Pure boxer.

Yeah, that's a long way off. Same as Pavlik being a brawler or even a slugger - He's neither of these. Martinez isn't close to being a pure boxer and the idea that Pavlik is a brawler is just laughable.

It is what it is though. I said to MW he didn't know about the different styles in boxing but he has showed that more than clearly enough in this thread. I think at some point, youhage to accept people just don't know boxing and move on.
