Mate you have been around long enough to know most of this post is horse **** apart from the first few lines. Choc is chasing Pavlik...has on several times met with Pavs manager...even the haters know this is true. Funny thing is....Pavlik may be chasing choc when he wins the WBA 160 title in 10 weeks ...word is Pav is a bit short on belts ATM
About what Danny? Pav being out of belts? You getting wooped by choc? Everybody who knows about boxing knowing choc is chasing Pav? You should fight a real CW ? :hey
Sounds like familiar rhetoric from couldhavebeen, rumbled already. :hi::hi: What ashley has already said to this post was pretty much on the money, however I hope there will be no fantasy match-ups with fighters from the future talked about because those types of conversations are ridiculous and inane. The only mythical match ups discussed should be ones that could potentially be made.
Not that Mundine would come from hiding under the table at the news... Pavlik had a real struggle making 160 for this fight. He might be done at jnr middle.
MUNDINE TO MARRY Controversial Australian boxer Anthony Mundine yesterday confirmed the truth behind persistent press rumours that wedding bells are in the air for the man by announcing plans to marry the love of his life, himself. Speaking in front of a mirror at the Redfern gymnasium where he trains, a glowing Mundine said that he feels that he's ready to make a lifelong commitment to himself. "I've been in love with myself since childhood, and I know in my heart that I'm the one for me. I could never love another the way I love myself and I made myself the happiest man in the world when I agreed to marry me," said a clearly smitten Man, flexing his muscles and blowing a kiss at the mirror. When asked how he feels when his loved one fights, Mundine revealed a rarely seen sensitive side. "Every time I fight, the last thing I do before I go out is have a private moment alone where I kiss myself and pray to Allah for my safe return," said Mundine. The Man admitted that he never watches himself fight because he finds it too harrowing. Mundine told reporters that he popped the question to himself on impulse during the emotional aftermath of his recent knockout victory over Guy Waters. "I was dancing around, gloating over Waters' unconscious body, making that cut throat gesture, when I suddenly realised how much I love me and the question just popped out. I had a few nervous moments there while I considered the proposal, but when I heard myself saying yes to me I was the happiest man alive... praise be to Allah".
One story says he had to lose 7 pounds in the last day to make weight. I didn't see the fight, actually, I caught the final round. Wouldn't surprise me though. He may have just went one fights too many at 160 and can no longer make it comfortably.
The recent outcome of the Pavlik v Martinez DOES NOT and let me repeat DOES NOT change anything in regards to Mundine. As to his quest for boxing supremacy:rasta Why is it we continuely get these obsessed Mundine fans who will have him as their avatar and will only bring up or discuss topics involving him or ones bagging Danny Green. It has been 4years since i signed into this site and i just dont get it. No wonder why im in the Lounge or MMA forums so much these days. I cant believe i prefer witnessing blokes argue over what kind of super powers they would like then come in the Oz forum these days.
Anyone that has or currently fights know how hard it is making weight. And as you get older it becomes evenmore difficult on the body. I dont know as im just some bloke sitting in West Sydney but Kelly Pavlik might indeed find making the Middleweight limit a tougher asks then he did before. If he did have to cut 7pounds 1day out from the fight then he really must of struggled..Every1 thats fights knows 7pounds out with under 24hours until the bout aint good at all.
The outcome of the fight should ultimately affect what moves mundine makes in either 160lb or 154lb division after he secures his next belt as it changes the middleweight picture considerably if martinez vacates. To be fair where do you expect mundine related threads to be? Sure making weight is horrible but the convenience of trotting it out after a loss and not a win smacks of an excuse. I actually thought pavlik and his often abhorrent trainer were classy in defeat and the post fight presser in giving martinez his dues. I haven't seen the article suggesting he was 7lbs over and if you could post the link that would be great.
