I just don't believe this type of comment. The match against Dirrell was a nightmare but his matches against Taylor and Pascal were 10 out of 10.
or boxing would have to adapt, return as a mainstream sport and have millions watching title fights? froch is one of my favourite fighters but i won't be paying.
Does the same apply to other merchandises? If I steal enough food from Tescos, will supermarkets adapt and start giving it away for free?
no. food has always been used for trading, boxing as a sport is better off when available to the general public, now it seeks to earn a few promoters and named fighters mega millions, screw the rest.
I see, stealing for the benefit of the general good? Kinda like an armchair version of Robin Hood, without the bother of having to get out, buy a bow and arrow and risk grazing a knee... Since when did anyone concerned give a **** about 'boxing as a sport'? If anybody did, then there would be a worldwide governing body. Boxing has always been a sport that is hijacked by the people who happen to have the most clout at the time for their own personal interest.
The fight will be great, but the undercard is shite. I'm still weighing up whether it's worth the £14.95. There's not even a chance of them putting on a UK card before because there's **** all on. If they put on Adamek v Arreola later I'd buy it.
I certainly don't see what purpose starting a thread about this serves. Are you hoping we'll all chip in for you or something?
Do what I did. Email a local and ask them to show it. It's primetime (literally) on a Saturday night. One of my local sport bars (The Box, Leeds) did not know about the fight until I emailed them and they asked for more details. Worst case scenario is that they don't show it, but it's worth a try. Pints in that particular establishment will take me well past the £15 anyway, but I've got a night out planned anywho and want to work that into it.
