This was the purported reasoning (though never given as the official motive by law enforcement) behind Chris Benoit's family massacre/suicide. Repeated long-term cephalic trauma compounded by substance abuse. :verysad

And Magic, that argument will never go away. It's like a single-drop theory - one in ten thousand boxers can appear in the headlines in a negative way and the people who are committed to being ignorant will just shrug their shoulders and say they told us so, and that boxing is a barbaric sport full of thugs. :conf For every Vernon Forrest that gets ignored a Mike Tyson is scapegoated.

I hope this is a lesson to people who think boxers should be allowed to fight regardless of the type of head injuries they've sustained - If you take it on a purely personal level then sure, but a severely damaged mind can end up hurting much more than just its carrier. Who knows if this would have occured if deepy irresponsible promoters and athletic commissions had followed New York (and as a consequence most of the USA's) lead. Maybe, maybe not. It reminds me of Chris Benoit, the wrestler - A look at his brain after death revealed that a lot of it was just mush as a result of the repeated trauma his particular moves caused.

Then that isn't communism, is it? It's dictatorship. The fact that Communism hasn't been successfully implemented doesn't automatically mean that the principle of a class-lesss Utopian society is ****. Certain ideologies dictate that Communism be viewed as detrimental, when in fact some good things have come out of it before it has speared off in a different direction.

OK - just to be clear - you do understand that South America is a continent, right?

    Just checking.
