Considering the firsthand experiences he participated in in Hati, I don't think he's a bad guy, but his wording was of poor choice and his assumptions take away responsibility from Valero himself.
Reason for what? Killing them. You've annoyed me with this post. If we met and i stabbed you, this would be my reason. Im sure it would be of comfort to those around you to know that I had reason for my actions. Do you really have to know the reason anyway? He killed her. And when he had time(or sobriety) to justify it to himself he couldnt, death was a better option. That tells anybody bothering to understand all they need to know. Whatever image you have of a justifiable reason for killing her obviously didnt happen. And Berto's **** attempt at humour will get him some justified criticism. Deal with it.
His comments were stupid but it doesn't make me think much less of him actually. Just someone who doesn't think before he speaks.
I know he said it in public, because Twitter is public (in this case).. I'm saying you should not say certain things in public. **** like this you don't say public.. but to say most of you all haven't said the same ****ing thing is bull****. He never said the wife deserved it. I don't see anyone saying his wife deserved it.
A reason doesn't mean someone deserves it, but everyone has a reason they do something. I also didn't say it was justifiable, where did I say that? I'm just saying women make men do crazy ****, it's a reason.. not a justification.
Nobody thought it was funny the first time you said it, it isn't funny the second time. Shut the **** up. "Berto is an ******* that is from Haiti, make fun of tragedy that would offend him." Post it twice because we missed your searing wit the first time around. yeah right.
Basically, yes. Having said that, Berto's choice of words and timing was poor nevertheless. The tragedy that happened is still very fresh and his 'fellow boxer' was a murderer, no matter why he did it.
Again: I have not commented at all on the point you're fixated on contending. & I don't think any1 else in this thread has either.
None of you know the specifics of how or why Valero did what he did, or what motivated him. Berto is entitled to his opinion.
