If I boxed I'd never pay sanctioning fees. Who gives a **** about belts, you're valued according to who you beat, anyway. If someone asked for more money on account of having the belt I'd just put it in the contract they can keep their lousy belt.

Not only do they charge you 3 percent of your purse to recognise the fight as a championship fight, but I think they also charge you to keep the belt too. Because the sanctioning bodies make more money this way, and can all buy speedboats.
