No-one can know for sure the result unless it is a set-up. Calzaghe is getting old and has been relatively inactive. Kessler is a very good boxer with good power but if jc has a beard I can't see him koing jc. jc is a southpaw which is an advantage. if jc hasn't aged since his fight with lacy he can beat Kessler IF Kessler is hype. Consider his resume is nothing compared to jc.

Christ - Don't praise Joes accuracy...He lands maximum 10 percent. But speed and volume you can praise highly

there's no doubt calzaghe can take a punch. he took some bombs in the reid fight, and a sweet hook/uppercut combo from mitchell which dropped him in their fight. and might i add he came back very impressively in the same round to stop mitchell.....

BUT! the question is, i've never seen joe hit by a combination, which is accurate, powerful and fast. mitchell was hurt before he threw that combo and even then didn't have the skills to follow up once joe was on his feet. he was drawn into joe's wild fighting and it costs him.

kessler would not do anything stupid like that. joe will try to throw from angles. flurries, wild punches even. anything to unsettle kessler. but kessler knows this is exactly what joe will do, and if he has any shred of intelligence, he will try his best to nail joe, then get out. nail joe than get out. if he actually succeeds in dropping joe he wont get all excited and try to throw bombs, because he knows he could get caught doing that.

i can see joe getting TKO'ed by a series of rapid combos that firstly wobble him, then drops him. once up on his feet, kessler will have the edge in confidence and will get more combos in. against mitchell, joe was hit plenty of times after that knock down, but again, mitchell is not a patch on kessler.

the big question that will be answered is what is kesler's chin or compsure like when joe starts throwing big assed bombs really quick? unlike against andrade, joe is far faster and much better on his feet. but like andrade joe does tend to throw wide looping shots when "fired up" or angry. obviously if kessler hurts him with a combo joe will either go defensive, which helps kessler, being the better boxer, or go aggro and wild, which also helps kessler provided his chin and compsure hold firm. if joe cannot faze kessler with his dazzling combination speed, then i see kessler eventually getting through with some combos. and eventually he'll wear joe down from accumilation. joe's chin is good enough that he would not be ko'ed. probably end up stopped by his father or ref while standing, or getting up too many times from flash knock downs.

but the real key to all this happening is how will kessler's chin and composure hold up? if joe can't worry kessler, then it's kesslers fight, im pretty confident of this.

I don't know if he's been hurt but if he hasn't been, that's not good... I mean, it may indicate that he hasn't been tested instead of giving an indication of how good is his chin. I have seen Andrade coming in very outa balance and getting some shots in and Kessler blinking and taking steps back... Man, I don't know but I would be awfully surprised if Kessler gets nailed and still comes forward to trade with him, I believe he relies completely on catching Joe with straight, long and stiffer shots and that's it.

Kessler doesn't have light feet to step in and out with a guy who can do tricks, shuffles with his feet ( ever since Eubanks 1st round, check it out), all Calzaghe's weaponry is the combination of fluid movement and ambidextrous flurry punching. Kessler stays patient and expects to beat his opponent to the punch with a fast counter-move but Beyer can hardly be an example cause Markus at 1.76m of height was pretty static and upright against the 1.85m tall Dane.

Al Gore and Mark Twain have said "What gets us into trouble is not what we don’t know, it’s what we know for sure but just isn’t so" and I believe Mikkel is pretty unsure that he can out-manoeuvre him so he's definitely into catching him with that big shot. I disagree that Joe throws wide but I would agree that he slaps too much whereas Mikkel punches hard and according to the book, less frequently though...

I think Mikkel Kessler will hold on to the pressure and the wild two-fisted attack but if he doesn't hurt Joe, he'll have to use some kind of inverse strategy at a certain point, or else, he's gonna stay, stay, stay until the fight is over.
