Valero Tragedy: A wake up call for all of us

What a load of ****. Guess what, the majority of drug addicts/alcoholics don't stab women to death. Valero was a piece of ****, who also happened to be an addict.

 

You are here to defend Valero, thats fact.

It actually can't happen to anyone of us, that is simply rubbish, plenty of people are mentally stronger than that, hence why the murder of a loved won is a relatively rare occurrence. Plenty of people enjoy drugs and alcohol without killing family members. You are piece of **** for trying to place the blame on drugs and alcohol and remove blame from Valero.

A person is solely to blame for letting alcohol and drugs get on top of them, and they are in no way excused from their acts when under the influence or under strain as a result of it.

 

I totally agree that this tradgedy could have been avoided. Valero obviously had Mental Health problems which could have been fuelled by drugs and alcohol. I don't know about other parts of the world but certainly here in the U.K. people with these types of problems are very much ignored when help is needed. There have been many instances here in the U.K. where people have gone or to murder or seriously injure someone because they never got the treatment they needed.

The sad thing is that lessons will not be learnt from this and it will continue to happen again and again.

 

Although most of us don't exactly know the details, there are still some facts to go by. One is that Valero's wife is dead. Second, Valero is himself dead.

It is just sad his life and his family's had to go this way. But I think a man holds his fate in his own hands. It's hard to believe Valero never had a single moment of lucidity from the time he did substance abuse until those final deeds.

If he was conscious enough to forbid his wife to get out of their apartment in California, he should have been conscious enough to seek help.

 

everybody knows what drugs can do to you, that's why it's illegal, and that's why you have to go out of your way to get them, so if you knowingly take drugs and your life goes pear shaped, don't come crying to me, because all i'll say is it's your fault. you wanted drugs, now you know why it's illegal. ****ing dumb****s. no excuses, valero is a dick head.

 

I'm not familiar with his out of the ring activities at all except for what's happened recently.

I still would want to know he was as a person before his head injury. I've seen some people that ended up with personality disorder after a severe head trauma.
