Mosleys win over Mayorga

Mosley looked crappy, even though he was clearly winning on points in my opinion.

 

Looking at mayorga's career, he generally makes everyone look bad especially if you can't hurt him. In my opinion forrest beat him in their second fight, but because forrest wasnt able to seriously hurt him, mayorga was able to rush forward and make the fight very ugly. Corey Spinks didn't look great either. Trinidad although eventually knocking him out, was also knocked down. I also remember DLH receiving a solid uppercut also.

In fighting mosley, mayorga seemed to be in good shape and used his size advantage over mosley to the best of his ability. He also limited mosley's offence by clinching and not exchanging as often as he did against DLH and Trinidad.

 

Mosley was judged going in against Margarito as the huge underdog based on that fight and I admit I also judged him based on that like many others did. I still picked Mosley to win because I knew and mentioned why I thought Mayorga was a better fighter than Margarito, you and many others obviously disagreed and called the prediction nothing but blind hate.

In all honestly, there is something many forget. No one really looks good enough against Mayorga, even DLH had his ugly moments and Trinidad had many ugly moments as well just like Mosley did. Even though Mayorga is wild he knows what he's doing and at least TRIES to change during the fight if his opponent will give him room to do so. Margarito is a typical throw-back tomato can who's brainless in the ring and just fights one way, Pavlik falls in that category too though Margarito, in all honestly, is slightly better.

Judging Mosley going in against another one dimensional predictable fighter based on the Mayorga fight makes sense but going in this fight both the Mayorga and Margarito wins mean nothing because Mayweather doesn't fight like those guys. If Mosley landed whenever he wanted against two heavybags he won't do that in this one. He's fighting a totally different fighter, an A class fighter just like he is.

Before worthless trash question why I mentioned Margarito and how mentioning him broke their hearts, I don't give a **** about your hearts and the sooner it stops beating the better for the oxygen you inhale. Margarito is mentioned because he's Mosley's last fight so it's only logical to bring up the Tijuana tomato can. Don't worry, it's only a matter of time before everyone forgets this worthless *******, he and his fans, existed.

 

BS Mosley has beaten boxers in the past, he struggles with boxers that can over power him. Forrest and Wink got him because they were both too big and strong for him, go back and watch those fights and you will see him getting backed up quite a lot.

 

He had enough to fully expose and trash the most feared tomato can in boxing history, remember?

 

Spot on as always, but I would add the main reason SSM looked bad against Mayorga is unlike Tito and ODLH he isn't as big or powerful at 154 and Mayorga was able to take his punches, which he couldn't do against Oscar or Tito. IMO had Mayorga been able to take Tito or Oscar's shots he would've been competitive.

IMO Shane was clearly losing this fight, winning 8 out of the 11 rounds I don't care what the score cards said. Please don't make an excuse to why Shane fought poorly, are people here really gonna act like Mayorga wasn't completely shot after Tito ruined his chin, and Delahoya put the final nail in his coffin. Mosley should of knocked Mayorga out within 5 rounds, the 170+ Mayorga was clearly fighting for a check at that point of his career, and still outboxed Mosley.

Yall people here crack me up, Shane doesn't deserve a excuse after that horrible performance, and people have every right to question is Mosley past his prime. Floyd will UD him, without being in any trouble.
