People need to just get over it already. Arreola was, is and probably always will be a tub of lard. The guy's fat. And no amount of cardio is gonna keep him away from those Coronas.
he may have put on muscle mass and lost fat.. (not likely) but in that case he`d be more in shape but not any lighter. maybe his % body fat is lower. somebody said he was reported to have looked a little more defined... he never looked tired against vitali, so hes obviously got a good engine on him. just imagine how good he`d be without all that lard...
Arreola claimed he would be using left jab and focus more on technical aspect of boxin which in my sense is the worst thing he can do. there is no way he can outbox better boxer. the best fot him is to keep attacking furiously whole night long with counting on light gloves from adamek.
The funny thing with Arreola is he has a heavyweight frame but he's lacking the heavyweight muscles. He looks like, without all the fat, he'd be just over the cruiser limit. When you see a picture, look at the size of his neck or traps. There is nothing there. He's a naturally big guy with plenty of fat and that's it. He could weigh 230, still have a little fat but be in very good shape. He'd benefit immensely from the muscle and I'm not one of those who thinks his size is a big problem for him. The lack of muscle is a bigger issue than excess fat.
I'm pretty sure that's impossible. What I mean is that the old myth about losing weight and gaing muscle at the same time is just that...a myth. When you lose fat you're also losing muscle. The body doesn't say to itself "let's take off 10 pounds...and just the fat!"
True, also the myth where some believe fat turns in to muscle! or muscle turns back in to fat if you stop lifting, or training etc hehe. Muscle is muscls, fat is fat, Arreola has a fair bit of both. It's known as intramuscular fat. he just has a few thick layers of fat on the muscle, so you wont see much if any definition. He does however seem to carry the fat well, it doesn't seem to slow him down. His punches are reasonably quick. But what it will do, is effect his movement, especially laterally, to avoid punches! Vitali couldnt miss he and Adamek is pretty solid as well. So problem for Arreola is that he will have a tough night avoiding punches from Adamek, but Chris may be able to get off with combinations now and then. Dunno, I think Adamek gets it, but will have to work for it. Chris won't take a backward step, and don;t let the blubber fool you, the guy can punch!
