Not saying hes looking for an excuse in case it goes tits up, but in some off his recent vids, hes said stuff like he wishes the fight was put back due to the ash cloud scare in the uk that nearly stopped the fight, kind of made me think he was looking for a way to give himself more time, any one have any views on this ?, is he just playing mind games with mikkel ?

  2. Nah he's says he's injured for every fight. He should have no excuse if Kessler blows him out. Froch by UD is still my pick, despite the fight being in Denmark.

Yeah im picking froch to, think mikkel has been slightly over rated in the past by everyone (me included) really thought he was better then he has shown in the last few bouts, hope its a war

I'm so tired of the 'I'm injured' excuse. All the greats fought much more often, for more rounds, and fought through whatever injuries they may have had. That's what separates champions from pretenders.

Froch is a warrior, I've been watching his tapes.

And I am amazed at how he's come this far, his hands are ridiculously slow.
I think saturday night, Froch will meet his limits and Kessler will stop him late in a FOTY candidate. Kessler may not have the full resurgence, but he doesnt need it to dominate against such a slow predator.

Kessler is more gifted and knows how to defuse all offensive-type fighters.

Isn't that basically what froch said "If I'd have pulled out of every fight for an injury I wouldn't be a world champion now and I would have missed out on about eight or nine fights."

    Doh!

He does say he is injured for every fight I can remember in the past.

  9. If you read the article you'll see that he's not making excuses.....

"If I'd have pulled out of every fight for an injury I wouldn't be a world champion now and I would have missed out on about eight or nine fights. I've fought with a torn cruciate ligament against the doctor's advice, I've fought with a broken hand twice because I knew the operation would put me out for seven or eight months so I had injections in my hand. I've fought with a broken rib and that was a world title fight, so going into a fight with a bit of a niggle or an injury is no big deal."
