He's already a two division champ. He suprassed Golota's "greatness" a very long time ago.

There was a shadow? All Golota is known for is his bronze medal and blasting Bowe's nuts and getting KTFO'd by Tyson and Lewis. So yes, I hope a 3 division champion(albeit one is an 'international' belt) Adamek passed him

better question is has he surpassed michalczewski, a genuine world class fighter? and the answer is yes. i prefer adamek's risky multi weight stuff to michalczewski's long drawn out universum/WBO run (with a few good wins), though D-M gets little respect for being the elite fighter he was due to RJJ's shadow.

That ship has already sailed bro. He's already surpassed Michalczewski as well. Adamek now has a shot at history - To become the first boxer in history to hold 3 belts, including the HW title. It won't be easy of course. He will have to beat either Haye or the K-Bros. But he's in a position to do so. I now rank Adamek top 5 at HW.

He meant 3 heaviest titles, Roy did not have CW title, so Bob counts only

I guess he would be the first to win major titles at LHW, CW and HW.

Too bad there's no Maskaev/Chagaev/Peter/Briggs/Ibragimov/Rahman/Ruiz/Brewster/Lyakhovich/Valuev holding a title right now.

he could certainly become the first to win light heavy, cruiser and heavy belts. to have 3 belts, from these divisions.

adamek certainly is going against the grain of cruiserweight champs moving up. like jirov. adamek-arreola was like the kind of opportunity jirov got, vs joe mesi.

still, credit to him for beating a world class fighter in a 3rd weight. and he deserves good paydays like this and the golota fight, when you think at one time he was a cruiser champ who couldn't land a major TV date.
