How will Froch react to his first defeat?

I don't know how he will react, but he should react by giving Cal a written apology, for all the **** he has spouted against the great Welshman.

He seemed to take it well and said he will be back.

Carl will find comfort in the fact he thinks he won. I hope he'll think about making serious technical changes but I doubt it.

The beauty of the Super 6 is he can't be frozen out of big fights now that he doesn't have a belt. Now he will fight Abraham and a win puts him through to the semi's.

 

How will he react?

He will be fighting another world class fighter in his prime in August.

 

Think he'll come back well and ud AA.

He'll do OK. He seems the type that will have the mentality to put it behind him and get on with things.

 

I think for any of the "name" fighters that get knocked out of the Super 6 there will be a title shot against Bute waiting for them if they want it.

I could see Froch, Kessler or Abraham taking that option depending on which one(s) of them get eliminated.

 

I don't think Froch seems like one of those guys whose career revolves around that '0', I reckon as long as he can look back at his career and be able to genuinely say to himself that he fought the best competition available and never disgraced himself then he'll be happy with that.

That's my opinion anyway.

 

Froch is well grounded, he lost but I doubt he'll crumble, he nearly lost to Taylor and Dirrell. I doubt he thought he was invincible.

He'll be better for the experience IMO. He's not a shop worn guy, he's still quite fresh and this run of 6 top fights (after AA) will have taught him loads.

 

He said on BBC that he's keen to get straight back in the gym and that doesn't surprise me. The AA fight isn't too far off which is probably ideal

 

He needs to bring his hands up against these guys and work to the body. He completely neglects this at times. Plus he doesn't adapt at all. Kessler was dictating whenever he was jabbing, Froch had success whenever he stepped in behind his own jab and brought in a right cross.

But he decided, or was forced to, back up and try and pot shot a guy throwing much more.

 

I think Froch is dealing with his first defeat very well, I've liked his attitude so far listening to his post-fight interviews. I wonder if the fact he's going to be a father in a few months will affect his training for the Abraham fight?
