I was thinking the same. Plenty of people would like to see that again I'd have thought, especially with it having been broadcast on ITV.

Although I dont want to see him pull out.

I can see his point in the sense that if does indeed have an agreement with showtime to fight in Britain for it to then be moved because Sauerland throw their weight around does make him look like some minion who does what hes told to by the bullyboys.

If he did pull out, I'm sure he could get a shot a Bute or Stieglitz soon enough so it might not be that bad.

IF Showtime agreed it was to be held in the UK and are now saying Germany, I fully support him.

But this is boxing and everyone will talk **** and the original point will be lost in a maelstrom of biased rubbish.

But Showtime will have blown their own tournament by moving the goalposts.

To be totally fair, Dirrell got home advantage after the Froch loss. Kessler got home advantage after losing to Ward. For either Abraham or Froch, coming off their first loss, it's going to be harsh to whoever doesn't get home advantage. Have the fight in the U.S. At least it's the same for both of them then, and I'd bet there are plenty of Americans who would want to see this fight live.....note : this would really **** me off because I want to go see it myself, but at least it would be fair.

Fair is sticking to what was agreed at the outset.

Having researched this further, I think it was only a verbal agreement, otherwise I'd completely agree with you. Another Hennessey **** up:-(.....

"Froch's promoter Mick Hennessy admitted later that the agreement for his next fight to be in the UK was verbal – and their German partners, Sauerland Event, will be in no mood to compromise if they think they can make more money staging it in Berlin."

Although I agree a neutral venue would be the best option, IF there was a deal for it to be in Britain then it has to be there otherwise every other promise they have made becomes worthless

The agreement should be honoured that Froch would fight Abraham in Britain. No favours should be given to Abraham after his DQ loss. However, if Froch does quit the tournament I would lose a little respect for him and his "warrior" mentality.

I agree, but an agreement is an agreement, whether verbal or otherwise

If there is a contract which states Frochs next fight will be in the UK, then I am sure that Sauerland and Showtime will honour it. If Hennessy allowed this important stipulation to go through on a handshake deal, then he has failed to protect Frochs interests and if I were Carl, I would be livid. To be honest, since Carl had the WBC title, Hennessy should have had the clout to negotiate Frochs fights to all be held in the uk. Goosen managed that for Ward with no title :nut
