ok cool, so that means only 1 fight that we disagree with (Moore Vs Loughran)

Well I think Saad really gonna have some moments in this fight, he had no fear and had one of the biggest heart's ever, he's defiantly gonna challenge Jones in this fight, he won't stand in shell like most Jone's oppenents, I favour Jones though at the moment with his speed and timing, but I defiantly don't see this as being an easy night for Jones.

The thing is, i think that if Saad has any moments then he could end this fight in his favour. I favour Jones and i think he's in need of a one sided performance because he could be banged out if he allows Saad into the fight. I know it sounds a bit crazy to say someone just completely dominates a prime Saad in any way, but Jones would need to imo. I don;t think he wins every round but i don't think Saad would win any rounds huge, like in devastating fashion. I'm actually going to stick myself out there and go for a great/vintage Roy Jones win/performance here.

    Yourself?

I can't see that my self, I feel Saad defiantly gonna test Roy, and knock him down at least once, I see him getting knocked down himself, I know the way I'm describe it sounds like all guns blazing, I defiantly don't believe that Jones movement won't allow it, I see long spurts of Jones outboxing Saad, but see Saad coming threw the pain every so often to connect with Jones and pressure him, and Jones have to dig in a bit

    what you think

I'd favor Saad to stop Jones down the stretch. Jones wasn't as convincing a Light Heavy to me as he was at lower weights, at least not in comparison to the crowd. Jones would certainly give him a go and probably make him look silly at times with his speed in the early goings, but Saad's jab would play a big part in him eventually finding the range for either a big right hand or left hook. If not one shot, I think the force of his blows, clean or not, would eventually shell Jones up a bit more and make for easier pickings.

Yeah, i don't mean he just brutalises Saad, but i do think it would be vintage Roy in terms of the scorecards and also the stoppage. It's very possible Saad drops him, but like i said earlier, i think if he drops him it would likely be heavy and he'd stop him, that's why i'm not saying it happens, because i'm going for a Roy win here.

Like you say, Jones to outbox him, i reckon that would happen with potshots etc, i reckon Saad would take some rounds but not in a fashion wherein he imposes himself enough on Roy to make the ultimate difference. Then i reckon Roy would stop him sometime after halfway, that's my scenario i think.

    You?

I think Jones beats him, but like I've said I defiantly think Saad is goona test him, know way is this easy for Jones,

The stoppage is definitely on the cards. I think that basically, if Saad has a big round, the stoppage comes. But i've went for the other scenario i've just posted above my self.

1973 uber conteh would handle Qawi;).No, but seriously,i've always thought Dwight was a frontrunner against the real offensive talents that he would have to walk through heavy firepower to get to(not the guys a notch or two lower , or washed up that he could clown with his D), even a hurt Davis had him unsure of himself for a long while after surviving the early barrage.

Some great skills, perhpas the best at methodical technical pressure and durable too, but he wasn't from the same school of no bull****, give 100% every time toughness that guys like Finnegan, Ahumada and Lopez were.I'd see a Rose vs harada like fight with Conteh getting his respect too much to be walked through.

Then again i'm a bit drunk and had initially just went onto youtube to watch some Dwight for fun after reading the posts here...and i saw that pish.Frontrunning trash did stuff like that against all the guys he could dominate and the same thing that really annoyed me aboutn the likes of Hamed and Graham disrespecting all the overmatched fighters they fought with similar antics. At least LOcche and others seemed to do it without malice. or always gave 100% against the best, unlike Qawi.Course a lot of people don't like COnteh, Pedroza etc cos of the headbutts, elbows and ****, but that never bothered me like that kind of showboating.

I see Jones outboxing him and making it look easy at times, but with Saad catching Roy and knocking him down, then Jones getting up and going in to defensive mode, and going back to pot shotting but with Saad being able to ruff him up at times, but with Jones winning to much rounds and winning on points

I agree with lora on the Conteh/Qawi matchup. I'll have to read through the rest.

That's a good opinion defo mate. I'll go with the one i just posted above. We agree on the winner then and more or less how the fight goes, just a few small details in that differ.

I think i'm going to have to get to bed now though, i'm really done in. We'll carry this on tomorrow mate yeah?

:lol:What can you say? Qawi was just a mean, hard dude.

Incidentally Conteh and Pedroza were two of my favorites. Some of the most beautifully smooth boxers who also had that extra craftiness and grit that a lot of fighters of that ilk are lacking in.
