What kind of win does PBF need over shane to top PacvCotto?

If he shuts him out will be a big statement, I'd say a near or as good as shut out or wide victory.

 

It also depends on how he does it too. He can't be boring and unable to take risks like he did against Marquez

 

Thats BS. The Marquez victory was near perfection. I heard the ring announcer from Street Fighter 2 say "You Win...Perfect!" LOL! If he does that to Shane thats worse imo then him knocking him out.

 

He needs to make a statement by doing to Mosley what no-one else has done. This is not necessarily winning by KO or TKO, obviously this would be very, very impressive. But Mayweather in the past has mentioned how Mosley has 5 losses, if he can do to Mosley what he did to Marquez (despite the weight/size difference) he would make a very big statement.

 

Yeah, the knocked down was good but the rest was near sleep enducing. Look back to last weeks' 24/7 when Mosley's camp were watching Floyd's tapes. They didn't yawn because it was late and I wouldn't be surprised if they were watching the Marquez fight at one point

 

Only a stoppage would really upstage Pacquiao's recent performances.

 

All he has to do is win, he is a fighter that wins in safety first type of fights. If he fights Pacquioa he will fight the same type of fight that's his style. When he moved up in weight he didn't get more powerful and quicker like Pacquioa. Even the speed that Mayweather carried to Welterweight isn't the speed he had at lightweight. If you notice he doesn't link the combos together anymore it mostly pot shots now. Mayweathers thing is to win not knock guys out, he's akin to sweetpea in that way.

 

I agree with this ,as he has gotten older his punch count isn't as high..also he doen't get hit as much now as when he was a young prospect....somehow i see him completely doing a major shutdown against Mosley...Mosley will win only 3 rounds or be STOP....TKO

 

any win is good enough. too much talk about p4p. Until they face each other all it is, is talk. We can all have our favourite but until each other fights one another its just fantasy boxing

A knockout. Floyd needs to show some aggression, take some risks, and stop playing it safe when he has the capacity to go for the spectacular finish. We all know he could have taken out JMM if he wanted to.

 

Floyd can't match Pacquiao's victories unless he completely dominates Shane and/or TKO's him, which I can't ever see happening.

 

I just don't see Shane getting stopped...if big, heavy handed offensive fighters like Forrest couldn't stop him, how will FLoyd? I see a clear sided UD for Floyd....I'm hoping Shane pulls somethin out his ass though

This sounds like a build up for a way to discredit Floyd. Beating Mosley > beating damaged goods Cotto and a Joshua Stand there Clottey.
