I'm I the only one who thought the Froch vs Kessler fight was overrated?

Good fight but far from great. It was sloppy but in the end both guys showed heart and it was dramatic down the stretch.

Froch is easily as skillful in his own way as La Motta or Marciano ( in fact it could be argued more so ) but this is what ( some ) dumb **** yanks do , ***** like mother****ers if something is being praised that aint wrapped in the stars and stripes.

    Go.......................****......................Youreslf !!!

Froch defense consists of his left shoulder cover 1/4 quarter of his chin. He uses his reflex as defense when he's a slow fighter.

LaMotta could dip, weave, slip, and pull back from punches within his crouch. LaMotta was an animal of a pressure fighter with top notch stamina and pressure. His defense was top notch. Marciano is underrated defensively.

Where in the hell are Froch's skills. He's unorthodox but there's nothing you could point to that makes the comparison valid.

Look at my avatar... Rocky is down there jiving like he's Floyd.

Froch-Kessler was not a boring fight. They kept trying to figure each other out, and both finished strong...

even if you saw the last couple of rounds.. i dont think your thoughts on the fight would have changed... i agree with you on the most part... i just thought it was a little too sloppy of fighting for my liking... and it definitely was NOT a total war ala gatti/ward...hagler/hearns that a lot of people were comparing it to... not even close at all....

Overall it was a good but far from great fight, but it did have a great ending. The last two rounds were exciting and dramatic. The rest of the fight was decent but it felt very repetitive with each round looking the same as the one before. So, when you couple in the last two rounds it was a good fight and probably the best in the tourmanmet so far.

It was the best fight of the supersix so far by a mile.

So how could it be overrated. For me it's also fight of the year so far.

I've seen tons of great technical fights with little heart in them. If you can't get both I would go for a fight with heart and blood!! Kessler-Froch was a great show having its climax where it is suppoesed to be...at the end.

The fight could be boring if:

A: Boxing isnt one of your favourite sports.
B: Youre an American arm-chair fan who lacks motivation when the fighters arent american "scientist" like Hopkins (!?).
C: You like boxing but you are mostly into pure technical amateur boxing.
D: You generally dont like to see people hitting eachother.

    Listen.
This fight was a WAR untill the end. Alot of punches connected - on both fighters - and there was alot of street fighting/swinging wild and the fight had its moments of nice technical ability as well. What is there not to like?

You want to see Hopkins hug, headbutt and complain? Mayweather vs De la Hoya?
