Boxing started in the UK and the UK fans remain the same as they are for all sports, they support their guys all the way.

A guy like mayweather could sell out wembley in the Uk. In the states he is struggling to sell out average size arena's. Says it all really.

    What a massive sweeping generalisation

And be careful, English does not equal British. Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland make up Britain

British people take pride in our home grown talent and we follow our fighters more than any other in the world. Our fans turn up to weigh ins in our thousands let alone the fight

    50,000+ watch Calzaghe v Kessler
    50,000+ watch Hatton v Lazcano

    Dont lump us all together

And it would be a boring world if we all thought and acted the same. Different opinions keep eastsideboxing.com such a popular website for boxing fans. If we all agreed it wouldnt be much fun, would it?

It sounds like the problem is with your ******ed family. I've never heard anyone I know ***** about those things.
This lunacy obviously runs in the genes because I don't think i've ever read such an ill-informed, bigoted and ****ing ridicuous post.

I wonder how many times you've been to the UK? I'd love to know since you seem to think you know the people well enough to label every one of them.

Oh, and you "love your UK people"??????

**** off you soft, simple minded ****.

typical yank who doesn't know jack ****, and why us brits know more about boxing than you guys do. when tyson, ali, mayweather all come to the uk, you ask them who treated them better, their own country or us, and they'll say us. we support our fighters better, we respect fighters better, even top american fighters, and we just generally know more. trust me i know. so while you're chatting **** about mayweather, he actually has more fans in england than he does in america you ****ing dumbass. i also know more about boxing than you do.

Like the riot at Wembley in 1980 after Hagler whooped Alan Minter? Everybody needs to chill out and remember that every country has it's share of morons that spoil things for everyone else.

If that's true well let him sign a waiver saying he would not allow himself to be n tv with a fool, but he'll rather fall into Mayweathers promo trap.
Everything is in the action with me, if you believe in something do somethng about it, talk is cheap.

I'm sorry your family sound like a load of toffee nosed inbreds. If you think normal British people act like that you need to get a reality check.

Far as I can see, the British fans are the best thing there is for boxing. They fly around the world to support their fighters, and support them in loud , colorful fashion.
If anything , it is the Americans who are soft and simple minded with their love of guys like Mayweather. Sure, it's easy to ride on the bandwagon of someone undefeated.
But Floyd's fights are boring, he's obnoxious, and he picks opponents as carefully as a housewife choose ripe tomatoes.
In the long run , British fans will keep boxing going while it dies in the US. The Brit's like their fighters for their warrior attitude, win or lose. The Americans worship ignorant ill mannered ghetto heros who stuff stacks of money down their baggy pants.
