I really can't remember a time when i wasn't into boxing. It helped that my old man boxed in the army, had fantastic knowledge and educated me on sweet practitioners like Canto.

If i had to mention a few names that had an impact on me though, the likes of Paul silky Jones, Herol Graham, Mike McCallum, Dave Boy Green and John H come to mind.

    Well....I was born in 1986...

My first real memory of any boxing was Nigel Benn vs Chris Eubank I.......i can remember as a kid, just vivid flash backs.

And to this day, my first real real memory of boxing of any sort.......................

Was a News Broadcast, and Nigel Benn's battered face and black eye, and this image was the only picture....on the TV screen covering the whole screen.

I can remember the news reporter, saying that "Chris Eubank won via knock out"

Thats my first real Memory of boxing.............!

I was only really a little kid, but even though i was not aware of most things in life, accept for toys and ****, and playing outside.

There was allot of excitement inside my house, around the Nigel Benn, Michael Watson, Chris Eubank....era..!

I always remember my dad, being extremely hyped.

And he also went to see Chris Eubank vs Michael Watson........!

I also remember growing up, allot of dog owners around my way in north Liverpool. Named their dogs ether Tyson or Bruno...........

Maybe it was the same up and down the country..? who knows...

There was a dog who lived next door to one of my best mates called "Bruno", and he was quite a friendly dog like......he was always shagging male dogs..

And there was some other fella, who owned two Rottys calle Tyson and Bruno, and on occassion he would say....

"Ohhhhh Tyson is always picking on Bruno"

This is the type of ****, he would say in the beer garden.

    This story is ****........memories eh..

Stared to get into boxing by watching Barry McGuigan, Frank Bruno, Lloyd Honeghan and Dave Macauley - saw a few fights on TV and listened to others on the radio. Remember listening to a few of Honeghans and McGuigans fights on the radio.

But really started to get into it seriously when I first saw Tyson fight against Berbick. I really followed the sport closely from them on and don't think I will ever experience the excitement I used to experience on the day/night of a Tyson fight. I was only 12 when he first won the title and it was brilliant be allowed to get up in the early hours to watch his fights on ITV. I used to get up at 10ish and watch it all again on the re-runs. Happy day.s

Hamed made me sit up and take notice that there was a sport called boxing.

Following De La Hoya's career made me a hardcore fan.
