Green Tarver off!!! but guess what

Yeah I didn't realize how tall Drews was until I saw him in there against Branco. I'd love to see Green win this one but it won't be easy.

 

How anyone can call Branco a C grade super middle is just beyond me. You clearly know nothing about the sport. Branco has great wins over people like Thomas Tate, Verno Phillips, Glen Johnson, Robin Reid, Mehdi Sahnoune, Manny Siaca and showed he is all class in his recent win over Peter Venancio. There is no Australian boxer in his weight class that could even come close to a resume like that.

If Drews has beat Branco twice he is an excellent opponent for Green and the fight will be every bit as tough as the Tarver gig. I bet Drews fights a lot like he did in the first few rounds against Briggs utalising his powerful jab and frustrating Green. Just hope green can get inside and hurt him like briggs did.

Anyway, a lot of crap has been posted in this thread. For starters, Danny has ducked fights and he doesn't go out and fight the top guns and the best available, far from it in fact.

When talk of Ottke/Green came about, Green decided not to fight him, but continue to pursue Beyer.

When talk of fighting Kessler if he was victorious over Mundine came about, he instead started telling how he really wants to have a 3rd fight with Beyer, and that was his priority, despite being the mandatory to Kessler had he of won.

Grene has been very selective of his opponents. All the champs he's targetted have been the weakest in their divisions. Beyer, Drews now, and before Drews he was after Branco.

 

Your story is so full of holes it's a laughfest - first of all, how did you know it was Green who called him? Did he answer "Yes Mr Green"?:hey

Nice touch throwing in that your Mum was "dying" - if she was dying, what did she need a chiropracter for? :| Was she "dying" of a sore back?

And hearing only one side of a conversation (with someone you couldn't even have known was Danny Green) isn't proof of anything. :-(

PS - Drews became champ by beating the champ Silvio Branco, who became interim champ by beating Manny Siaca for the vacant interim title, and then he became full champ when Tiozzo retired. Gee, for someone who "is involved in the boxing scene" you don't seem to understand how it all works :nut

Just a quik thumbs up to Eels mate good call on the Tarver fight you stuck by your guns when you were copping **** over it and you were right.

 

For ****s sake, does every Mundine nuthugger have to post **** about Choc when there is talk about Green.

It proves these guys dont love boxing, just Mundine.

But yeah, Green wants the Mundine fight to get back his loss to him. Id rather see Green fight somebody else in the LH division. Also what happen to Mundine goin down to middle???, man he talks a lot of **** and backs up none of it!!! Id loved to see Mundine fight the winner of Slappy and Kessler but he doesnt deserve that fight either.

You're obviously someone who knows nothing about boxing if you don't rate Stipe Drews! The guy is already a world champion, so how can you question whether or not he is champion material ffs?? :-(

He has a good record and the WBA belt to his name. His only loss was to Briggs who is no mug, not to mention he has schooled Silvio Branco twice, the second time to win his WBA title. And guess who Silvio Branco beat by a huge UD (199-109 on all three judges cards) in his last fight before he lost his world title to Drews?? Nah never mind guessing, I'll tell you. Manny Siacca, Anthony Mundine's nemesis!! :deal

So much talk about money $$$$$$$$$ Greed is the root of all evil, Karma will fix those up that rob for their own gain ( Mundines eye, he was looking good and going places ). **** it, I feel sick that I have been spending hard earned money on Australias boxing industry :think.
I hope the news of this fight with Drews is true and that it is a great fight and a another step in the right direction for a shot at a world title for Danny down the track. I am a big fan of Danny Green since day one and I have no doubt he would have stopped Tarver within 5-8 rounds but He WONT win this fight. This is a very bad move for danny and could see his career come to a shock end if he losses to Drews which i personally think he will.

Too Tall and a dirty fighter will get to Green and he wont fight smart aka like Beyer 1 and 2 and the Mundine fight he let it all go to his head and could not control his own fighting style

 

My mums chiro Noel had known her for years from her hockey days and was always very fond of him, she only had a couple of weeks left at that time so my sister rang him to come round to see her to help her feel more positive, she didn't need chiro you moron. After the phone call he said That was Danny Green you ******ed douchebag. It doesn't matter anyway, i've explained thoroughly why i don't like him. When i say i'm involved in the boxing scene i mean i'm an AM boxer who knows and has sparred with different pros and ams around the place.

Re PS, exactly you stupid ****ing mutt, branco beat useless Siaca for an interim title and got elevated to champion when the paper champ retired. Branco only had what 10 losses or something like that. Branco was garbage, Drews is garbage, the casual fans poster boy green is garbage.
