Calzaghe dances all over Froch everyday and anyday + Froch did not 'stone' knock out Taylor you complete muppet, he was not out cold.
Calzaghe and Kessler was pretty even the first 4-5 rounds then Calz changed style and Kess wasn`t able to adapt and got beat soundly (except last round). Froch only had one gameplan and had Kess in trouble first half of the fight, but Kess found a way to beat him in second half of the fight. Something he would never do against Calzaghe And remember the Kessler who got beat by Calzaghe was much stronger and sharper than the version we saw against Froch. Kessler won against Froch due to heart and guts only. So all in all Calzaghe is the better fighter, and imo he would probably beat Froch more convinsingly than he beat Kessler.
No chance. Froch wouldnt get anywhere near Calzaghe. He would be clowned, chasing shadows. I have visions of another Lacy-type fight, stylistically.
I'm a big froch fan after being in Herning and seeing him close, the guys a warrior. Wether or not he beats Calzaghe, well I doubt it...just cos of Joe's work rate and speed
lets not forget calzaghe struggled against robin reid and got a gift of a decision and frochs last 4 opponets have bean Pascal,Taylor, direel and kessler, calzaghe more skilled but with not as much heart as froch.i dont like either though
some posters on here never ceases to amaze me, and you're one of them posters. congratulations, you just got put on my **** list.
There are many ways to defeat an opponent... By KO or landing harder and cleaner shots are just a few of them. The same as outworking the opponent with crafty speed and large volume of punches. Kessler admitted that Calzaghe made him weak, he couldn't use his strength. Joe did that and took less punishment in comparison to Froch, who managed to land the harder shots but took many on his face during that process... That's why Kessler was given the edge, not considering the home advantage. JC's victory was more clear cut than Froch's.
He has a lot of heart during fights, he always finds a way to win. Even after knock downs, he refuses to lose.
Lets not forget that Kessler fought Calzaghe with a broken right hand for most of the fight, and, conversely Froch got wobbled and was losing to Dale Westerman until a dodgy referee stoppage in the ninth (I had Westerman 7-1 coming into the ninth). I think Calzaghe is too smart and slick for Froch.
