I say it's best if Kessler wins he is a young champ and will around for years, While Calzaghe foot is half way out the door and he has one or two fight left in him:smoke

Calzaghe, because people will wrongly have a field day were he to lose.

    Kessler will be forgiven.

    Kessler.

Younger champ who appears more willing to travel and take on tougher opposition.

The most important thing is no matter who wins, he wins clearly and definitively-no dubious decisions or premature stoppages. That said, Calzaghe is closer to the end of his career than to the beginning, and injury-prone to boot. Overall, a win for Kessler would be better for the sport.

The world will collapse in on itself if Joe Calzaghe ever loses.

In what way do you see this as being good for boxing?

Depends how the fight turns out. Kesslers career will still be promising if he drops a close one. Joe might not have any options left if he looses.

He's right. The world would collapse.

The world needs to see another Calzaghe vs. TBA in Wales.

It's better for boxing that a boxer with the drive and age to fight anyone takes over - so Kessler.

calzaghe, just to **** you off :good

but seriously, Calzaghe is a gentleman of boxing and derserves to go down as a legend and if he wins this fight he can retire with his head held high!

He is a master boxer, a jedi of boxing style and deserves to be thought of as HOF - no question about that to my mind.

I agree, Calzaghe only has a few fights left in him before he retires so even if he comes out with the victory it won't do very much for the sport in the long run.
