I know that Floyd still has to fight Shane Mosley but i'm wondering what you guys think about a move up in weight (ether 54 or 60) for a matchup with Martinez? ... Martinez is not a big middleweight like Pavlik is ... he's not that huge of a puncher - yet he matches up equally in speed and ability.
Martinez is tall with long arms. An outstanding boxer and a southpaw. He could be Mayweather's greatest chalenge out there right now. Yes this includs Pacquiao, Williams and Mosley.
Floyd would never fight him. If they did fight, Martinez would beat him 9-3 or maybe a late stoppage.
If Mayweather goes up to fight Martinez, and beats him, people will say he cherrypicked his opponent.
I disagree, I'd give Mayweather a lot of credit and I am a huge critic of him. I'm impressed he even agreed to fight Mosley, I mean he was talking about fighting Paulie M. or Matthew Hatton FFS.
