I think floyd wil make manny look terrible. manny makes a lot of mistakes and floyd will take advantage of most of them. if cotto can catch manny flush floyd will have a field day with him.

Pac has a great chance, he is just as fast as Mayweather and arguably the harder puncher. Mayweather only avoids so much shots because of his weird body angles created by that unusual philly shell defense. However, Freddie Roach is a genuis srategist and could come up with a game plan to finally crack that shell. Mosley looked slow, tired, and old last night. Whereas Pac is fast, has unlimited energy, and is still in his prime. Pac would be a real threat.

Because Fredie Roach has shown, with the right plan, even a past his prime 34 year old boxing promoter can go even with Floyd through 8 rounds before his lack of stamina kicked in.

    Note to all:

Manny Pacquaio is not a past his prime 34 year old boxing promoter.

You are right that the angles are different but you need to know Floyd's favoured punch against a south paw is his left hook not his right hand. Frankly south paw or not Pac is ****ed. And if the biggest arguement people have is that the look is different well we are talking about the best adjuster in our generation here so frankly Pac just being different probably isn't that big of a deal.

Old man Mosley tagged and wobbled Mayweather in the second round last night. If Pacquiao can connect with a good shot, he can win this thing.

I don't think so either. But let's ask Miguel Cotto that question. Shane never was able to deck Miguel, but Pac did it twice with single shots. hmmm...

Ask Zab Judah how little Floyd's defense was worth.

agreed. its the shots that you dont see that hurt you. paquiao knocks many people down because of this, something that similarly jones jr used to do because of speed, placement and position.

As a fan of Manny I'm a tad bit concerned after seeing this fight. I remember Freddie Roach making me angry by not taking a fight with Mosely. Roach is on record saying that "he didn't want to put Manny in with Mosley" about a year ago. That always bothered me, because Shane even agreed to come down to 143 or 145 for the fight and Roach wouldn't take it. Personally felt that Manny would ruin Mosely especially below 147 in a dangerous but entertaining fight.

The choice to not take the fight with Mosely leads me to believe that Roach felt that Manny couldn't take Shane power and speed. I think that Roach always viewed Mayweather as soft because Floyd doesn't fight elite welterweights, and I agree with that assessment, but after seeing Mayweather outclassing Mosley and doing it after being hurt, I don't want this fight for Manny either it's just not a good fit.

I'd settle for Manny vs. Mosley though....I think it would be a fantastic fight with both landing tremendous shot's. It would be more entertaining that Manny vs. Floyd IMO.

Floyd tends to fight more aggressively against southpaws, and I assume thats what he would do here. He'd walk Pacquiao down behind that shoulder defense and continuesly find home for that right hand. Plus, when he gets in close, Floyd will be able to manhandle Manny.

Don't expect this fight anytime soon.
But this time because Team Pac will not want it.
(Not the fighter... But Top Rank)

The leverage has shifted & Mayweather has all the pull including the #1 WW.
They will have to bow down to the OLY style testing 100% before Floyd even looks their way. sounds simple, But in the world of business with pride & all the bull**** that goes on, I don't see this happening & this time it ain't because Arum has blackballed Mayweather, But because Mayweather will blackball Arum.
