I think Shane could still win titles. Ideally he'd rematch Cotto and hang them up, don't see why Cotto would take that fight though.

I've noticed a similar problem in Berto & Shane- they don't set up their shots and want to go straight for the big punch or combination. They also paw too much. That being said Shane needs a confidence booster fight and this or the Coto rematch @ 154 can be just that.

Shane is still a champ. This fight was a non-title bout.

Shane still beats all WW champ's around, IMO.
    The question should be why?

Unless it's another chance taking fight like a Margarito/Cotto rematch..
I don't see any any company taking on a Mosley by risking their young champion against him.

oficially yes, but it is now worthless. floyd should be the rightful champion (alphabet only). a fight between pac and floyd would settle the welter champion.

could the shane from last night beat berto? granted he hadn't fought since margarito, but he looked very old in there last night. obviously that has a lot to do with mayweather, but i was still very surprised to see how timid he was and how he really wasn't able to put anything on his punches.

Mosley-Berto is still a fight that I would like to see despite his loss last night.

Still become? He technically never stopped being champ. Mosley remains as the WBA welter weight champion for better or worse. And this technicality is a clear example of how insane the politics are in boxing.

Shane could pretty handily beat Berto and the IBF new kid as well, imo. Mosley being dominated had to do more with Floyd than Mosley.

The Shane that was gasping for air after the third round last night ain't beating any title holder @ WW.

I haven't seen him that wound up since the first DLH fight.

The guy has nothing left. He gassed bad after 2 rounds and he has no more workrate. Berto is about 10 years younger. Shane still has a good strong punch, but his ability to throw combinations is gone.
