Shane should have faced him when he was younger then. Remember he wanted none of Floyd for the best part of a decade.
This. I don't see what's the point in this thread. Younger DLH would probably beat Pacquiao also. Younger Tyson could beat Lewis. A younger Jones would probably beat Calzaghe. But that doesn't mean anything.
HE SHOULDA TAKEN THE FIGHT IN 1999 AND SHOWCASED THAT THAN...BUT HE CHOSE TO WAIT TILL 2010 N GET A BIGGER PAYDAY WHILE HE WAS AT IT:good
Dude, give me a break since when does Floyd give opponents ample opportunities to hit him?? Age had little impact on the fight if at all - Mayweather adjusted and Mosley froze up (like many of Mayweather's opponents have before) because Floyd is great at killing opponents' rhythm, morale, and willingness to engage....
10 years ago Mosley had his shot, he moved up to fight De La Hoya 4 years ago Mosley had his shot, he went to the dentist. He got his shot now and got his ass whooped.
In what ****ed up time machine world will this happen? What do you know about Floyd in 5 years? From where do you get your knowledge of future, sorcerer?
There were plenty of moments where he could have hit Floyd and he didn't pull the trigger or he looked confused. That had everything to do with age and decline. Mosley barely went to the body and he looked so sluggish and off with every punch he threw.
i like shane and all and he was a complete monster at LW. but honestly, i dont see how even shane on his best night would have an answer for floyd. what winky wright and vernon forrest did to him should give you a picture on how it would turn out. defensive minded slick boxers have always given shane fits. sugar shane is still without a question a p4p ATG and future HOF'er, but floyd is and always will be his kriptonyte.
