Floyd more skilled or Mosley more fadded?

Floyd was just that much better. Moseley was on his toes and mobile but could not time him or come near him. He had his chance in the 2nd and Floyd just turned iit upo and Moseley just lost all confidence threw less and would punch air when he did. He also looked afraid to be countered so he also lowered his out put. I think that Shane beats Berto Manny Quintana and most top welters.

Manny may be able to beat him but he couldn;t beat him as easily as Floyd did. He would win a pressure fight where as Floyd won a finesse one

 

we all know its a bit of both.

 

Floyd was just that much better. Did Shane get old over night? Did the long layoff affect him? Possible but who gives a ****....Floyd just dominated SHane Mosley! He deserves props.....

Too many people make too many excuses for why a fighter wins....usually its for the guys like Manny and Floyd who are the top players of their proffession that we see these crazy comments and excuses to why they win, but Floyd deserves credit...it was a great win.

There is no doubt Mosley was seriously faded but still, I think had this fight taken place a few years earlier, it would have panned out more or less the same. Floyd was always gonna school Mosley.

But really now, Shane always struggles with defensive fighters. I mean winky and forrest both beat shane pretty easy. Cotto while not a defensive fighter just had the right gameplan and skillset to get the W.

 

Its both, but Mayweather is definately more skilled and would have beaten any version of Shane mosley. But Floyd Mayweather is also past his prime, he is definately not the same fighter he was 5 years ago.

 

It was a combination of both, Mosley was old but Mayweather was still the more skilled of the 2, Mosley was just lucky that PBF wasn't a bigger puncher or he would've got KTFO.

 

I don't know if I can see that. His speed and reflexes which are his best attributes are still there, I haven't noticed any decline yet.

 

Perfectly put. It's not fair to say he got old overnight, and even the HBO crew were saying after the sixth round that Mosley's old and he overtrained, and he's too slow.....But nobody was saying that after the second round. So obviously age is a factor, but Mayweather adjusted perfectly and sapped Mosley's confidence....It was a truly great performance.

:rofl You know there are some "boxing fans" out there who won't ever accept accomplishments of these guys b/c they have their own "Favorites". I don't really like Floyd outside the ring but LOVE watching the man do his thing in it. He's incredible and he's a true professional in the way he goes about preparing himself for fights....that alone deserves respect.

We need Floyd vs Manny......P4P Kings fighting it out to see who is the best once and for all.

 

The fact that mayweather got hit so easily with that straight right without even turning his shoulder a little bit makes me think that he may be slowing down. i wont make that call yet because that punch did come out of no where and it isnt like mosely is slow. But A lot of people can forget that mayweather is in his thirties because of his looks. it is coming.
