So even after he beats the guys, they remain in the top 5 P4P and he doesn't go up to 1?

Ring got their ratings wrong as far as I'm concerned. You can't rate Pacquaio ahead of Mayweather anymore, it should be on their recent efforts and beating fighters who don't even figure in the Top 10 anymore should count against him.

wtf is Nonito Donaire doing there!!!??? He has 1 only 1 good win. And that´s guy isn´t even close to the top 10. There are tons of fighters who have done more then him!

the story says that Pacquiao barely kept his number 1 p4p ranking, so a good chunk probably just under half defected to Mayweather.

Also, WTF is with Donaire at number 4. Dawson and Williams have more claim to that spot than him.

It needs to go on current/recent achievements, otherwise how can you justify Pacquaio having it after losses in his career?

The fighters he has recently beat, none of them figure in the Top 10 except for JMM and that was a questionable decision in the eyes of many.

Just shows, Floyd's attitude is the real reason he's not #1, his boxing abilities can't be questioned.

Why so some of you insist on making this so complicated.

Pac was at the top prior to PBF/Mosley. In order to get to the top he needs to beat the guy there. Floyd has not done that yet.

    It's really that simple:deal

When has Pacquaio ever beaten #1 P4P to get there? He got there cause of Floyd's retirement. Since he's been there, he's done nothing impressive - his last impressive victory came against Morales in 2006.

Gotta give him credit for JMM in 2008 but other than that your right.

"Pacquiao can't lose his spot until he's beaten"

    ^

I was unaware Manny fought everybody in every weight class he was in to become #1 himself.

#1 p4p is not a belt. It gauges boxers skills and recent performances. Decisive wins against #2 & #3 should make Floyd #1. Ring know this and pussied out of changing the top spot. Putting Floyd at #1 WW was his consolation.

Barrera? JMM? Hatton (previously undefeated at LWW)? dominating Cotto making him run for 6?
