No way does Manny keep Mosley that handcuffed

The 2010 version of Pac stops the 2010 version of Mosley IMO. True, Mosley has quick and hands and good power but the chin and determination we've seen from Pac recently would see him through I think. I was amazed at how tired Mosley seemed after only a couple of rounds and if that had been Pac instead of Mayweather then I don't think Mosley sees the 10th round due to the accumulation of punishment he would be subjected too. Mosley makes it competative early but then gets worked over as Pac gets faster and faster and forces either the stoppage or the towel.

 

This would look very similar to Pac vs MAB 1, Mosley would look good early but as the fight progressed he would get worked, anyone who expects a 40 yr old man to be able to keep up with Pac is crazy. Mosley really is over the hill weather you wanna admit or not.

 

What about a drained Williams wiping the floor with Pac/Mayweather at a 150lbs catchweight ?

Pac : the problem is Freddy will not allow it. And I think Pac won't agree to it either.
Mayweather : he'll say it's not enough financially rewarding for him as he knows Williams will beat him bad.

 

The difference I'm seeing here is that Mosley's speed only comes into play when he's either moving straight forward against someone going straight back (Margarito) or firing back against someone standing in front of him throwing bombs (Mayorga). He USED to have tons of speed in his feet and threw beautiful combinations ten years ago at 135, but pretty much right when he moved up to 147 he became more reliant on his pure strength and chin than his speed.

Also, as was mentioned in the broadcast the other night both on HBO and SKY, his globally good speed isn't that important unless it happens to also be locally good speed, which is to say, when he's faster than his opponent.

 

I'm not trying to discredit PBF at all, he is once again the man at 147 but alot of posters here are pretending that this version of Mosley is close to a peak Mosley, which really isn't the case. 10 years ago I would never Imagine him getting outclassed in the speed department.

 

You're right, no way Pac would be able to shut Mosley down like floyd did cause you know damn well the Mosley that fought Floyd that night would get killed inside 9 rounds if he was against Pac. Mosley has no ****ing power after 4th round for christ sake, how can he survive the onslaught?

 

Dumb post. Mosley would lose to Pac not because of a deficit in raw power but because of the inability to land it and especially to land it in such a way that Pac doesn't see it coming. The one thing that Mosley HAS shown at these higher weights is that his physical strength and ability to take hard punches that he can see coming from big, strong, hard punching guys like Mayorga, Vargas and Margarito allows him to survive and win by KO in the late rounds.

I don't think handcuffed could even be used for Shane & Sat night's fight. There is visual evidence that Shane let his hands go but only to miss, land grazing shots or get somehow halfway out of position when landing.

Shane mentioned not being able to adjust and being too tight. This is almost the same as recognizing that he tried to box and couldn't - hitting your opponent from the furthest distance away while gaining maximum leverage and not getting hit - and Mayweather's distance was enough to duck Shane's shots, counter Shane with his best leverage and timing. Definitely Mayweather won the boxing contest.

Manny Pacquiao is a big problem because he comes first and beats you to the punch. Cotto landed some jabs there on Manny but was outpunched and seriously hurt down the stretch... Shane lost to Cotto so I don't see how can he be competitive against Manny.
