Amir Khan says he targets 'past it' fighters

If the Mayweather-Pacquiao dream fight happens, Khan wants a crack at the winner. If Pacquiao wins, it puts their mutual trainer Roach in an uncomfortable position. Last year, Roach said that he would do everything in his power to prevent Pacquiao and Khan from fighting each other.

"If things go well, I could end up fighting the winner. This game's all about timing. You have to know the best time to have these big fights. I want to catch these guys when they have come off their peak," Khan said.

People should use full qoutes, The Scene are just twisting words.

 

You couldn't really find a guy who faced more prime opponents than De La Hoya. Khan should take a look at Oscars record and watch a few of his fights before making comments. Damn this kid needs some media training, training on how to pull chicks and a few spelling lessons.

Still, "I want to catch these guys when they come off their peak" is a bit different from the usual "I just want to fight the best". Strange choice of words from King Khan.

This is his belief, my persoanl view is if he can win his next 3 fights beating top 140 fighters like Bradley, Alexander, Maidana then why not?

If he can do that and Floyd agreed to the fight then would be a fool to turn it down win or lose that is a super fight, super name, super money.

First of all beating those 3 would show he has an improved chin at 140 for a start.

Then showing by beating them that he is the No.1 140 fighter in the world.

147 would be is a perfect weight for him in 16 months.

Khan's handspeed, workrate, jab, movement, reach would give Floyd probelms.

Khan would be a big underdog but from now on Floyd is not going to improve, but Khan will.
