Apparently not. A shame, as I consider this one of my better uploads. Personally, this is one of my favourite fights. It is considered one of the most brutal fights ever witnessed. Nelson's eyes were closed and he was vomiting blood when the fight ws stopped in the 40th round. "I would of had him in another round" was Nelson's response.
Wolgast looked more skilled than I expected him to, utilizing a similar gameplan as Owen Moran did later, except this was a better version of Nelson. I've also seen Wolgast vs Moran, and Wolgast essentially roughed up and beat Moran down. It is said that Nelson threw approximately 80 punches a round in this 40 round fight, Wolgast significantly less. He wanted to let Nelson punch himself out but the durable Nelson wouldn't stop coming. Seems like Wolgast was also hurt badly there in one of the rounds, but he managed to survive. In the end Nelson could no longer see and the fight was stopped with Nelson still willing to fight, but unable to.

What a performance by Wolgast, them crowds really loved their knockdowns! That's a proper boxing performance, the lead rights had me the most. If he thought the lead right was on, he threw it and it landed, nice rolling with the shot as well, so as not to get caught in an exchange of shots when he landed his own. He seems to have had good finishing skills from that footage also, even though so many of those attempts didn't come to fruition, it's more testament to Nelson's durability imo, that man was a warrior by all accounts. Some of the footwork was really good also, good strategist it seems, Wolgast. He either knew Wolgast was ready to be beaten or he knew he was better, great performance.
Watching this fight,completely REINFORCES,what I aloways suspected....The oldtimers were infinetely more durable and tougher than todays boxers...Watching these two guys fight a 40 round fight in the sun,no less is awe inspiring...With thinner gloves, no mouthpiece,boxing 100s of long distance fights, vindicates my dad who always told me the fighters in the 1920s, and before,were superior in stamina, and just as skillful...This film at normal speed proves this opinion...What conditioning the oldtimers had!!!.
